(Btw, I'm fine with getting told to put this in the chatroom, but I think other people could have this question too)

I've had two pairs of Joy-Cons for a while, and the L sticks are getting a bit tatty, so I'm thinking of getting some new ones, since I would like to have enough controllers for 3 players (for stuff like Mario Kart, so we can have a full controller set each).
Also I would like a pair that I can shiny-hunt on ZA without worrying about controller drift on my main pairs.
I have some stupid questions that I want to make sure I'm getting the right one, because I am terrible at research.

  • Is the Pro Controller the one that can repeatedly perform an action, or is that the Turbo Controller?
  • Will the Turbo/Pro Controller function with other games like Switch Sports and MK? a.k.a do they still have accelerometers or whatever they're called
  • Is there a reason that I should buy Joy-Cons instead of a controller? The main use of them will be family-related stuff, not just my Pokemon obsession.

This is more of a controller question than an actual Pokemon question.
Have you tried searching online for some of the answers to your questions?
no, where should I start?
Agree with above, you'd probably have better luck asking on another forum. You'll probably get decent answers just searching "joy con vs pro controller." Though you'd probably have better luck just going with your personal preference.
ok, fair enough
