What is the RNG manipulation method in FRLG? And how do I do it?

Now I know this question has been asked before in a different context, but I am asking for FRLG specifically AND I ask for an explanation of shiny frames also tell me a guide on how to do this method as the other question didnt really help with that

the specifics of rng manip are so nuanced they're impossible to get into detail here. it takes into consideration console and whatever you're trying to accomplish. fizz's guide didn't help you understand? what are you trying to achieve?

FRLG RNG is annoying because the seed confirmation procedure is fiddly and it requires two frame perfect tricks (unlike RSE which needs one). Shiny manip also requires you to know your Secret ID, which is very difficult without ACE/hacks/save editors unless you manipped it in the first place: https://retailrng.com/frlg/beginner/frlgstarter/

I probably couldn't write technical guides any more clearly than that site, but let me know if you still want a high-level overview of what's involved that might make the guides more accessible.

RNG isn't too bad once you've been successful for the first time, learning it would definitely be faster than SRing for shinys. But yeah if you don't know your SID then you may need to start a new save.

It’s not that I thinking SRing is faster I just think RNG manipulation is a bit like cheating. Still keeping this thread up for someone to answer tho. Also I ain’t restarting my game.

Yeah but I want this shiny on my main for all my other games for when it gets home accessibility. I only have online on my main account and would want to battle with it like in champions or something

You can switch the account you're withdrawing from to your alt, and then switch back to put it into your main (it's my question, I know)
