How do you send a Dream Pal request?

I have both Black and White, with separate Pokemon Global Link accounts, and i want to have them be Dream Pals.

when you open up the dream map there should be someone else's island and all you have to do is click on the island. When you get their home pulled up on the top left-hand side there will be a couple of buttons. Click on the one that says something like " Request Dream Pal" and they will have to confirm it.

But how do i link my two games' Dream World accounts directly together? I've been to the Dream Pal Map and all i see is random people

I think you have to go to "Profile" and accept your own Dream Pal request for that to work properly.
