If you have a good competitive moveset for Cherrim, post an answer below and upvote the best ones. Movesets for any of its pre-evolutions can also be shared on this thread.

Be sure to include full set details in your post, e.g. items, abilities, natures and EVs. Some explanation, including the intended game mode for your set, is also appreciated. Access the full list of guidelines here.

Cherrim Pokédex and learnset for reference.

thinking that this thing will make gen 9 VGC interesting when we get to restricted formats, as fairy tera groudon seems pretty good with this for support in a format without dynamax, at least on paper

Physical sweeper!

Item: Heat-rock/Life-orb/Leftovers
Ability: Flower-gift
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 252 Attack, 252 Speed, 6 Hp

Sunny-day or Swords-dance

Seed-bomb or Bullet-seed

Return

Nature-power (Earthquake)

Flower-gift boosts the teams Attack and S.Defense by 50%, that includes Cherrim, so it can be used in a single battle! With Jolly its Attack goes up to 324 which is pretty good! Sunny-day is in-case you do not have Sun-support, otherwise go with Swords-dance. Seed-bomb is STAB, but if you want to have a move to beat Subs, Sashes, and Sturdy then use Bullet-seed. Return is good neutral coverage. Nature-power becomes Earthquake in PO/Wi-fi battles so it is great coverage.

Gen. V
Nature: Modest (+Sp. Atk. -Atk.)
EVs -- 252 Sp.Atk., 252 Speed, 6 HP

Sunny Day
Solar Beam
Weather Ball (150 Base SP. Fire attack w/ Sun)
Morning Sun

This Cherrim's Job is to set up sun and then hit like a truck. it's ability I find only useful for the special defense boost. But since this Pokemon needs Sunny Day weather Ball provides amazing type coverage and access to a very strong move in sun. Morning Sun's hp recovery also is boosted by sun

I doubt sunny day is good on this, but I've never used cherrim. Not sure how you have 510 Ev's instead of the max 508 but ok. Also, weather ball doesn't double in power until gen 8.
You can have up to 510 EV points, but the last two don't do anything

Gen 7 ZU

Cherrim @ Firium Z
Ability: Flower Gift
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Petal Blizzard
- Return
- Swords Dance
- Sunny Day

Petal Blizzard is STAB. Return is nuetral coverage. Swords Dance boosts your attack. Sunny Day is for Z-Sunny Day, which raises your speed and activates Flower Gift.

I think Cherrim is very cute :)

Here's an in-game moveset that I use for Sword and Shield, can also be used it competitive.

Cherrim @ Heat Rock
Ability: Flower Gift
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Sunny Day
- Solar Beam
- Leech Seed /Dazzling Gleam
- Weather Ball

Sunny Day is essential for this set, and it pairs well with the Heat Rock. Flower Gift makes Cherrim
- Look cuter, &
- Activate Flower Gift to boost SpDef.

This means that Solar Beam, its main attacking STAB move, can be Exeggcuted in one turn. Leech Seed heals, and Dazzling Gleam for coverage. Weather ball enables it to use a Fire type, Sun boosted moves to WRECK Ice, Bug, and Steel types, which all annoy Cherrim. Threats like Ferrothorn, Corviknight, and Kartana.

Hope this set helps! :D

Gen 8 NFE Cherubi Sun "Sweeper"

Cherubi @ Life Orb
Ability: Chlorophyll
252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 HP
Timid or Modest Nature
- Energy Ball/Giga Drain
- Dazzling Gleam
- Weather Ball
- Pollen Puff

Be frozen in amazement at its 275 base stat total, which technically "outclasses other Pokemon". Be overcome by its 1 Ability, which helps it become a powerhouse in the sun. Be possessed by its amazing movepool, which contains around 12 good moves(maybe more). But seriously, don't use it. Energy Ball is STAB. Giga Drain is weaker, but heals. Dazzling Gleam is coverage. Weather Ball is a base 100 power fire type move under sun, which functions as coverage. Pollen Puff is more coverage. Life Orb maximizes the power of its attacks. Timid Nature gives it more speed. Modest gives it more power, but less speed. Chlorophyll is its only ability. Since Cherubi's defensive stats suck, we focus all on offense and speed. I don't get why you would use Cherubi, unless you were dared to, had a bet, or you want the novelty of sweeping with 2 cherries. You need, I mean need, something with Drought or Sunny Day. If you aren't gonna use Vulpix because of its bad stats, then use a bulky sun setter.

Swords Dance doesn't work because of cherubi's bad physical movepool, and its attack and bulk don't let it set up, so I went for sun all out attacker.

Cherrim @ Life Orb
Ability: Flower Gift
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 6 HP
Jolly Nature
- Petal Blizzard
- Sunny Day
- Swords Dance
- Play Rough

Gen 8
Role:Wallbreaker

Cherrim @ Life Orb / assault vest
Ability: Flower Gift
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Growth / Pollen Puff
- Solar Blade / Solar Beam
- Play Rough / Dazzling Gleam
- Weather Ball

Growth/Pollen Puff: Growth allows cherrim to boost its special and physical power while also allowing it to sweep easier. Exchanging Growth for Pollen Puff allows it to get a full counter against 13 types and can heal partners to some extent in doubles.

Solar Blade/Solar Beam: both being amazing stab moves gives cherrim potential to deal massive damage and or ohko all together. This ultimately boils down to your preference on whether you want stab to be physical or special.

Play Rough/Dazzling Gleam:Once again the choice of the 2 boils down to preferences. Play Rough allows it to hit harder while Dazzling Gleam on another hand allows it to hit both opponents.

Weather Ball: A reliable move when it comes to sunny day. Especially because it counters 2 if it's weaknesses.

Tips: Cherrim is at its best when it's a mixed sweeper. Advised to use on sun teams.

Recommendations: Considering that it's max speed is sadly 295 I highly advise that you have teammates with Sticky Web or Tailwind to ensure that Cherrim is faster. Cherrim appreciates teammates with screens and or capable of setting up psychic terrain to ensure its survival against Pokemon with Pokemon with priority moves such as Extreme Speed or Bullet Punch.
