Can I fix my Pokemon emerald?

I got my emerald from amazon and as soon I started it it said the save file is corrupted.

I know there is a way, I just don't remember what it was.

You should be able to start a new game, but if this continues then you will have to replace the internal battery in your game, for instructions, see here
