If a mod picks a BA, will the asker get the usual 2 points for selecting?

I noticed HM* BA'ing questions and I was wondering whether the asker gets 2 points.

Yes. If I select BAs from another person, the person who asked the Question will get the 2 points for selecting the BA. That's the reason why MegaGrievous gained such much points at some point in time.
