I know that views aren't counted by how many different people have seen it, but by how many times people have seen it. Which means 1 person can "add" to the view counter more than once.
My question is, how much time does it take before you can add another view to the counter?

Sciz and PX, you guys are both wrong... i enter and leave pages a bunch of time when editing new answers yet the counter stays at 2 (or what ever it was at.)
When you said it was at 2 I was at 5, so it could just be what I said. You live pretty far from the server so it could take time to read it, while me and Sciz are in the same country and don't have far, so it's almost instantaneous
i see. (filler)
In case it matters, I attempted to enter the page two times on my cell before successfully entering it on the third. So... xD

The exact answer is that the view counter only stores the last person who visited. When a different person visits, the counter goes up. But that means if 2 people keep reloading the page alternately the views will keep going up because it thinks it's a new person.

That makes sense. I just decided to answer back then to give a simpler answer, and hoped you'd come back with the whole thing o3o.

There's no time limit. It's simply as many times as you enter the page URL, it counts it as a view. It's just how many times the URL has been accessed by users. That's about it I'm afraid.

This probably should be a comment but I'll leave it as an answer, I / someone else can convert it later.

EDIT: I'm pretty sure it's just the time connection between you and the server, and how fast it registers. If you leave and join quickly, like refreshing, it might not get time. It's not a specific time, it's just as soon as it can register that you actually got there, if that makes any sense.
