I feel like it would cause less clutter and lead to more genral neatness if users could edit there typos to make the chat neater instead of having to make a new comment to fix it

I can see what you mean about typos
This would be a bad idea. It could quickly go downhill with people who are spammers and other sorts of unwanted users.
Yeah, people could abuse this by making abusive comments then editing them to evade a ban.

I don't really see the point. Although the chat is fairly quiet these days, it's supposed to be somewhat fast-moving. By which I mean, in a few minutes/hours the chat posts will be gone anyway. That's different to the main Pokebase where comments mostly stay there permanently.

You can make another post right after to correct something, or read your post before sending it!
