I've recently seen some posts in the admin that I'm positive that I've rejected before. Are these posts being reshown by the users who attempted to post them in the first place, or did something go wrong when they were rejected?
If the former it true, is there any point to this? If my memory is correct, users cannot edit their posts when they are hidden, so I don't see a point in users being able to reshow their own posts.

Users absolutely should not be able to reshow posts hidden by other people. If this is the case then something's wrong.
Not completely sure if users can reshow posts that haven't gone through the admin, however, I'm nearly positive that users are able to attempt to reshow their posts if said post has been rejected in the admin, but it obviously just sends the post back to the admin.
