How do you find your friend code

Question

I have not a clue how you find your friend code.. could someone plz direct me?

As posted on the "what is your Friend Code" question...

To get your FC:
- Go the basement of any Pokemon Center where they will give you the Pal Pad.
- In the key items pocket, open the Pal Pad and there is an option to check your own FC and add others.

If you go down stairs in any pokemon centre a girl will start talking to you and she gives you a pal pad look in your bag and you will find it. Look on it and you will find your friend code.
