Meta-PokéBase Q&A

I've noticed that after you post something (an answer, comment, or question) then press "Edit" soon after and make a change, there is no "Edited

I have a few questions about this: How long can you wait before editing so the change log doesn't show? (the longest I've seen so far is 2 minutes.) Can moderators/editors etc see the change log even when this happens? Does this also have something to do with if your comment is followed/answer or question commented on?

EDIT: Testing it out, I edited it after under a minute has passed

From what I have heard, it is 5 minutes (Cause I edit a lot)

Edit: This answer proves my comment.

Five minutes.

The 'edited by' message does not appear for us either. However, the post history is visible to us, and also visible to you. You just need to enter the address manually. You can get the post ID number from the link where it says "asked" or "answered" and then put it in this URL:

Does this also have something to do with if your comment is followed/answer or question commented on?

No, but there is a bug with answers that are selected while they're being edited that causes the 'edited by' message to disappear.

Is it the same for comments? Is comment revision history visible to mods?
No, there is no edit history for comments. Mods cannot see any edit history that you can't.
