Meta-PokéBase Q&A

In recent times, we've taken steps such as the outdated/unresolved questions thread and top 100 PokeBase questions to ensure content on our site stays updated.

This will be our next step. I've created a tag called future-sensitive, which will be used to collect questions that are very likely to require updates in the future.

The tag should mainly be used for questions whose answer is almost certain to go out of date when a new game/generation releases, but people can use their discretion for what should be included on it. I've added a few examples to the tag to help illustrate.

If you ask a question that fits the description, please add this tag to it upfront. If you see a question that should be included on the list, please flag it. If you're an expert+, you can simply edit the tag in. Mods are suggested to use silent edits to avoid clutter.

It will take some effort to populate this tag to where it's a helpful place to find questions that need a new answer. But we already have eyes on lots of old questions at the moment (thank you Amethyst and JATP among others), so I think it will be relatively easy to get off the ground.

Obviously, the tag should eventually be taken off questions like "What does the PLZA Upgrade Pack actually do?" when they've received their final answer.

good idea!
What if there was like a "Pokebase news & updates" section for things like this so there wouldn't be a big answer box or votes, and it would be where more people would see it?
Meta is kinda the site news section. I wouldn’t be opposed to a news section within meta, but PM is awol. Votes and comments on these are good because it provides the staff team with feedback.
As far as I can tell, very few of the top 100 questions look "future sensitive". It looks like more people just search for questions about specific games that have already released.
This is certainly a neat step forward, especially because tags are usually how I stumble across older questions in the first place. Though, much like sumwun mentioned, a lot of the recent questions I answered just had lower quality answers or were missing information, as opposed to just being outdated.
