Fun fact: I actually found two shiny Guzzlord. I found the first one the day I started hunting (look, shiny charm magic, my US soft reset hunts were really quick), but I failed it due to Thrash confusion (I was stubborn and wanted it in a Premier). The second one I found the next day, and I would've failed it, since it was killing all my mind with the help of Beast Boost, so I finally gave in and threw a Beast Ball.

I'm attempting PokeRadar hunting in Diamond. I'm going for Smeargle. The highest chain I got was 33, but the Smeargle though getting a Struggle crit 3 times in a row was more important than getting in the ball, so I failed to catch it. Then, the next encounter was a Starly, so that was annoying.

Also I'm patiently waiting for someone to respond to my Meta comment ;-;

I might not hunt Regigigas, since I already have a shiny one from Omega Ruby. Though thanks, if I do decide to end up going for it.

I'm not sure. I don't have much experience with hunting legends in DAs, especially since I don't have charm. Since you have a chance from getting other Pokemon from DAs, I'd opt for Soft Resets, since you can guarantee that you get your target (I suppose you could just not catch the other Pokemon in the DAs, but you'd have to have a really luck run to consistently make it to and defeat the boss). As for which is faster, between ORAS and USUM, I'm not sure, but I'd opt for USUM because getting the shiny charm seems to be easier between the too, plus, there's more variety for what you can hunt. However, if Charm isn't included, then I'd probably opt for DAs.
