Hello people, LeBoss here with his most successful Sun team yet. First (possibly only) team to defeat Mike's Sand Team. Anyways, I realize that I have a weakness to Ice, but that hasn't been a problem yet. I'm debating whether I should run Specs on Latios. Help me out with your suggestions ;) Anyways, on to the team!

Quick Preview:

Ninetales @ Leftovers
Ability: Drought
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpD / 4 Def
Calm Nature
- Sunny Day
- SolarBeam
- Fire Blast
- Will-O-Wisp

Alright, as you can clearly see, Ninetales is my weather inducer. Sunny Day is to have an advantage when other weather setters, namely Tyranitar and Politoed, come in. SolarBeam is an epic coverage move for the fox. Fire Blast is STAB. Will-O-Wisp is to cripple many physical attacker/walls that try to come at me.

Infernape @ Life Orb
Ability: Iron Fist
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 SpA
Hasty Nature
- Close Combat
- Mach Punch
- Thunder Punch
- Overheat

This. Dude. Wrecks. Close Combat is here to take down some threatening pokemons in OU, mostly Heatran and non-scarfed variants of Kyurem-B. My ONLY Mamoswine counter, so this guy is valuable. Also a backup if Ninetales can't take down Tyranitar down by itself. Mach Punch works very well to pick off weakened foes, and the semi-rare Scarfed Obamasnow :P. Thunder Punch is mainly for water types like Stamie, Tentacreul, and Jellicent. Oh, and the Flying types. Overheat is just my way of saying SCREW YOU to all physically defensive pokemons that do not resist Fire attacks. And dont forget about the Sun + Life Orb :)

Latios @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 SpD
Timid Nature
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Dragon Pulse
- Psyshock
- Energy Ball/Solarbeam

HP Fire. The best way to abuse the sun with this dragon. Dragon Pulse is my STAB, and preferred over Draco Meteor since Latios is usually the last Pokemon alive, and I don't want to be taking Chanseys (oops, I meant chances :P) with -2 SpAtk. Psyshock is how I tell the Blobs to get out of my face, and good against opposing Venusaurs that don't carry HP Ice, have a boost from Growth, or carry a Life Orb. Energy Ball is my current choice against Pokemon like Gastrodon. However, I'm considering SolarBeam instead for more power.

Landorus @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 Spe / 252 SpA / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Rock Polish
- Focus Blast
- Earth Power
- Hidden Power [Ice]

Standard Rock Polish set here. Basically, I set up Rock Polish, and then proceed to sweep. Ice Shard is the death of me, however. Focus Blast is nice when up against a Scarfed Kyurem-B (with a Rock Polish boost) and sends Heatran to the fiery pits of Hades, where the climate is more fit for him :P. Earth Power is just amazing, and it's STAB. HP Ice is good for opposing Landorus/Venusaur/Dragon types. Nothing much to say about him.

Starmie @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 100 Def / 156 SpD
Timid Nature
- Ice Beam
- Psychic
- Rapid Spin
- Recover

Starmie, my lovely Starmie... Anyways, Ice Beam and Psychic are just my attacking moves, nothing special. Rapid Spin, however, is what i use it for. Rocks are a little scary to my team, so it's this guy's job to make sure the others can do theirs safely. Recover is, of course, to make sure this guy lasts longer and Spin more rocks that may come my way.

Venusaur @ Life Orb
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 252 Spe / 252 SpA / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Sleep Powder
- Growth
- Giga Drain
- Hidden Power [Ice]

Sleep Powder. The perfect move to at least get 1 free boost from Growth. Then, sweep all you want, or go for another Growth (if you dare). Giga Drain is STAB and very nice, as it heals off Life Orb damage. HP Ice is for Dragons, but I don't find much use for it.

I am LeBoss. My OU Sun team. And this is Jackass :P

Think I'll up-vote for the pictures alone.
Lol love that quote at the bottom *upvote* for that and a really good team.
I'm up voting for all the reasons those two listed.
EDIT: I can't because people hated on my Sand Team, and I don't have enough points. I will as soon as I can.
Very nice team, LeBoss.
Also, I must note that you have a huge Mamoswine weakness, and if Sun is gone, you're pretty much dead except for Venusaur.
I would Switch Sleep Power for Earthquake, or a Fire type/Blissey will wreak your Venusaur.
JCM, i know i have an Ice weakness, but it hasn't caused me trouble...
Kyron, Sleep Powder is to get in some free Growth boosts, but i see what you mean... i might consider a mixed Vena instead...
so, about the Lando-T, would a scarf set be recommended in this case?
and i believe im gonna go for a trick Latios set.
thanks Mew.
Oh dear. Name of the team is a spin off of Super Mario Sunshine (Which is an epic game)
:P
Lol, someone finally noticed...
The Ninetails Picture freaked me out

You have way too many Special Pokemon. Chansey nearly walls the crap out of you.

My suggestions are in Italics.

Ninetales: You do have a huge Mamoswine weakness here. Your entire team is hit Super Effectively by it, bar Starmie. As most Mamoswine in the Metagame run Choice Band or Life Orb and Adamant, I recommend you utilize an EV spread of 252 HP / 156 SDef / 100 Spd so you can outspeed Adamant Mamoswine and cripple it before it gets to ruin your team.

Infernape: Lovin' it.

Latios: Latio's Energy Ball should be replaced for either Trick or Draco Meteor. The advantage of 2 Dragon moves: D-Meteor when you have 1 Pokemon to knock out with other teammates alive, or spam D-Pulse when you need consistent damage. As HP Fire renders you useless against opposing Latios without it, you can either hope to win a Speed tie, or swap the EVs for: 16 HP / 252 SAtk / 240 Spd to outspeed all Choice Scarf base 108's, like Terrakion.

Landorus:
As stated before, you have way too many Special Pokemon. And you have no hazards. Here's a Pokemon that provides both, as well as a better defensive point for your team:

Landorus-T (M) @ Leftovers

Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 244 HP / 64 Atk / 200 Def
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)

  • Earthquake
  • Stone Edge
  • U-turn
  • Stealth Rock

Set is fairly simple. Landorus-T's gargantuan Attack stat allows hit to invest little into it, while for into defenses. Intimidate and the nice bulk provided by the EVs allows you to wall most Physical attackers. Earthquake is STAB, and forms an EdgeQuake combo when paired with Stone Edge. U-turn allow you to scout and switch into a sweeper easily, due to Landorus-T's base 91 Speed. Stealth Rock is hazards.

Starmie: I suggest changing your EV spread to a 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd with Ice Beam, Thunderbolt, Psyshock, and Rapid Spin. You can also opt for HP Fire over Psyshock. If you do, you cannot outspeed other base 120s anymore. Then, you should try this EV spread: EVs: 40 HP / 252 SAtk / 216 Spd to outspeed all positive base 110s.

Venusaur: I find Sludge Bomb better than HP Ice, as it does grant good neutral damage and STAB. It is not necessary, but you may switch Sleep Powder for either Earthquake (switch the HP EVs to Atk and use Hasty / Naive) or Hidden Power Fire. Once again, it is not necessary.

Have fun with the team.
