Welcome to our new awesome Hyper Offensive Rain Team. A couple of days ago me and Leboss got together to make a team. We eventually made two teams when we couldnt decide on Rain or Sand, the Rain team, Det BubbleTeam Sweep, and the Sand Team, Egyptian Secrets. We then decided to split the RMTs, me doing the Rain while he does the Sand. Well here goes the rain team.

Teambuilding Process (second half of page)

Politoed (M) @ Choice Specs

What kind of rain team would it be if we didnt have someone to come in and set up the rain. Now since this is a Hyper Offensive Rain Team we decided to roll with a SpecsToed. If you look at the Team-building you will see that when we started to work on Politoed Leboss wanted to try something that Hex gave him the idea for. Put Perish Song on the little guy so people will not think its choiced and since you had to switch anyways or you will die it wouldnt really matter. Then you come back in and smack someone with a Specs Hydro Pump in the Rain. Focus Blast and HP Grass are great coverage moves.

Hyper Offensive Jirachi anyone? This guy makes a great addition to the team seeing as fire type moves are powered down in the rain and it provides a lot of resistance to this team with its steel typing. Iron Head and Body Slam paired with Serene Grace give us those ParaFlinch shinnanigans. Drain Punch allows us go get some health back while allowing us to not be complacently walled by steel types like Ferrothorn. Ice Punch does a hefty chunk of damage to those Dragons types we come in on.

EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Hasty Nature (+Spd, -Def)
-Focus Blast
-Hidden Power [Ice]
The first of our rain Abusers. That Stab 100% Accurate Hurricane will do a lot of damage to anything that doesnt resist it, and for the things that do we have a Focus Blast heading there way. HP Ice helps takes downs the many things that is weak to ice in the OU tier while U-Turn is used for semi-scouting.

Manectric (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Lightningrod
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd / 4 HP
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Thunder
- Signal Beam
- Flamethrower
- Hidden Power [Ice]
Our Scarfer and Second Rain Abuser, again 100% Stab Thunder really hurts, it hurts even more when we get that SAtk boost from all those electric type moves that we switch into seeing as half our team is really weak to them. Signal Beam and Hidden Power Ice are coverage while Flamethrower lets us come in and kill something things in the Sun.

Infernape @ Expert Belt
Trait: Iron Fist
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Navive Nature
- Close Combat
- Fire Blast
- ThunderPunch
- U-turn
Surprise, look out for this fast Sun Counter. Close Combat is a powerful STAB and so is Fire Blast. ThunderPunch covers that Water and Flying weakness. U-Turn is for when want out of a fight and allow us to gain the momentum of the battle amd also does away with most of pesky Psychic types. This guys isnt so bad in the rain baring Fire Blast.

Sharpedo @ Life Orb
Trait: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Jolly Nature
- Waterfall
- Crunch
- Protect
- Ice Fang
The final member of this rain team. A Stab Waterfall in the rain coming off a base 120 Atk really hurts. Crunch is another STAB and Ice Fang is again coverage against those many OU pokemon weak to Ice. Protect is for scouting and lets us get up a Speed Boost. This guys sweeps teams as long as there is no Mach Punchers.

thundurus runs a better scarf set unless you plan on using switcheroo which is why anyone would use a manectric. it can't "kill the somethings" that are in the sun with flamethrower considering most people in the sun are fire types meaning they resist fire.
you seem worried about sun. earthquake > ice fang on the sharpedophille.

sand seems like a big problem too maybe a rock type but if you don't replace sharpedo which is a good addition to your team you'll have 3 weaknesses to grass.
@ Gligurr, he means Chlorophyll stuff.
he isn't going to outspeed
not everything in sun is fire, i know lucario doesnt like to take a Flamethrower to the face
Also people use Switheroo in the tier that Manectric is in not OU, why would we give up that boost of speed.

As you said before, HO isn't exactly working too well.

I'm putting the importable for my suggestions, and explaining tomorrow, as I kinda have to go soon.

Just used the new team its pretty great
