Lenub is a nub

Greetings and welcome to one of my more crappy OU Sand team's. Recently, one of my favorite pokemons, Landorus-Incarnate to be exact, has been put on trial to be suspect tested for Ubers, thus proving to be too overpowered for the OU environment. So I sought out to make a Sand team in which i could abuse what i originally intended for a Physical Sand Force Lando. Realizing that Sheer Force was the reason Lando is (probably) going to Ubers, i made an easy transition among the pokemons and came with this result. I hope you enjoy this team.

The team

An in-depth look

Tyranitar @ Leftovers
Tyranitar
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 188 HP / 64 Atk / 196 Def / 60 SDef
Careful Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Pursuit
- Stone Edge
- Superpower

Only the best sand inducer around (gtfo Hippo). This ruling tyrant plays two roles for the team; Set up Stealth Rock is number one. Free damage to anything that switches in (except for a certain few) is something that very desirable to many players, thus making this Hazard the most used and most common, not to mention the fact that it is also seen as one of the most "broken" hazard. Role number 2 is also quite simple; DESTROY LATI@S! Yes, as you may see, any choice Lati@s set can come in at any given time, deal great damage to everything except Jirachi (which i mostly use as my lead anyways), and then switch out like it freakin owns the place. So Tyranitar teaches those stupid Draco Spammers a lesson with a mighty Pursuit. Oh, you're gonna hit me with a Choiced Draco Meteor? Let me just shrug that off, thanks to my boosted SDef stat. You plan to switch out? Lolfreekillftw. The rest of the moves are simply to make sure that TTar isn't fodder once it's 2 roles are done. Stone Edge, with this EV spread, ensure an easy kill against Dragonite and Salamence, 2 of the scariest boosters in OU. Earthquake hurts, im not gonna lie, but if im at a healthy 80% or higher, them dragons wont be alive next turn, provided that Stone Miss actually hits. Superpower just gives me something to hit opposing TTar and crap like Blissey, Ferrotroll, and Heatran.

Jirachi @ Leftovers
Jirachi
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 64 Atk / 192 SDef
Careful Nature
- Body Slam
- Iron Head
- Wish
- U-turn

My 80% dedicated >.> lead. Seeing that's the case, LeadRachi can EASILY bluff Stealth Rock, thus meaning i can always get an easy Paralysis hax with Body Slam. Then, i can choose on of my 3 options.
1.) Iron Head flinches of death
2.) U-Turn to a better pokemon to dispose of my opponent
3.) Wish + Iron Head / U-Turn combo, to heal up either Rachi, or the entering pokemon, so it can heal up Hazard damage and/or the attack the opponent will launch.

Other than than Wish passing and Parahaxing, Rachi is just a Special wall with scouting powers.

Landorus (M) @ Life Orb
Landorus
Trait: Sheer Force
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature
- Rock Polish
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Earth Power
- Focus Blast

Say hullo to one of the greatest pokemons ever. Rock Polish, then gg. I mean, really, unless you get damage on Lando while it sets up, then bring in priority, there is no way in hell you're gonna take it down (inb4 Focus Sash u nub). The set provides perfect coverage. HP Ice is pretty much necessary on every Lando, seeing that dragons in OU don't mess around. It also hits opposing Lando's, which pose somewhat of a threat to this team, or any team for that matter. Earth Power is STAB and just dents anything, thanks to Sheer Force + Life Orb boost. Focus Blast then finishes off everything, litterally. Here's a calc to prove how well this does...

252SpAtk Life Orb Sheer Force Landorus (+SAtk) Focus Blast vs 252HP/252SpDef Leftovers Ferrothorn (+SpDef): 81% - 96% (288 - 340 HP). Guaranteed 2HKO.

Yep, 2hko on your freaking bulkiest OU monster that isnt' KO'd by my other 2 moves. Says something about the power of Lando :D

Alakazam @ Focus Sash
Alakazam
Trait: Magic Guard
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Psyshock
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
- Hidden Power [Fire]

Well, ever need something to stop boosters in their tracks? SashKazam solves your problems like no other. Oh, your Volcarona is gonna try to set up on MY ALAKAZAM? It would be a shame if... someone were to... survive. Anyways, Psyshock > Psychic*, cause Blissey and Chansey still pose problems to this team, though not so much. Plus, i specifically needed to it stop Quiver Dance boosters. Shadow Ball hits SubCM Latias, thus not allowing it a Sub, and making it very weak with 2 Shadow Balls, or let it set up on me while i keep spamming it towards its death. Focus Miss serves its job to miss, though at unreliable times, it decides to hit and kill stuff, such as Heatran. HP Fire is the reason im using Focus Sash, due to the reason of me being tired of Scizor's sweeping me all the damn time. Also hits Ferro outside of Rain :)

Salamence @ Life Orb
Salamence
Trait: Moxie
EVs: 220 Atk / 36 SAtk / 252 Spd
Hasty Nature
- Fire Blast
- Draco Meteor
- Outrage
- Earthquake

My freaking baby right here. Really, i can pretty much use Salamence with any set. Scarf, Band, Mixed, Specs, WallMence, you name it. But out of them all, this specific Salamence set proves to be my favorite set of them all, when paired with Rachi to make quite the astounding core. This is pretty much a typical MixMence set. Fire Blast all the grass, steel, and bug types that are out of teh rain! Oh dear, Landorus-T switched in and made my Attack -1? LOL, Draco Meteor spam ftw. Pretty much, after Draco Meteor has been used, i either have a Moxie Boost under my belt, or am ready to grab one with either Earthquake or Outrage. Fire Blast allows Outrage to dispose of anything that isn't a dreaded steel type, and thus allows me to Moxie-sweep the floor until a Scarfer comes in. And speaking of Scarves, i indeed have my own...

Keldeo @ Choice Scarf
Keldeo
Trait: Justified
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Secret Sword
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Surf

Keldeo, arguably the best scarfer in OU. This scarf set > standard Scarf set (the one with Icy Wind) cause i actually want to KO Dragons on my first shot. Anyways, tired of crap not being able to KO? Go for a Hydro Pump! (Unless you are the Mewderator) Dont want to risk a miss? Go for Surf! Need to KO Specially Defensive pokemons? Sacred Sword will get the job done! Hate dragon spam in OU? What better way to get rid of it than HP Ice spam on all the things!!!!!

So yeah, that's pretty much it for the team.

Notable Threats (Crap that is common, not some random thing people say as an excuse, such as DDance Haxorus)
Stockpile Gastro - I don't carry any status moves that hurt the foe, and i dont have a grass move either, so im screwed with Gastro.

Mamoswine - Mamo has the potential to rape the whole team. My best bets are that Kazam can KO with Focus Blast hitting Mamo before i get EQ + Ice Shard combo'd (assuming Keldeo is dead).

Scizor (in rain) - Such a pain in the butt, since it can rape pretty much all my team, except for Keldeo, who gets walled by Poli.

Kingdra isn't weak to ice. Neither is Palkia :s
Dialga and Reshiram don't mind Ice moves either.
btw, Lenub, HP Ice / Surf / Hydro Pump / Secret Sword is the standard Scarf set.
Yeah isn't specs set Icy Wind over HP Ice for the Lati twins when they switch in?
Flame: Kingdra isn't common in OU, or at least not when i'm laddering

Once: Yeah, if you couldn't tell, this is an OU team.

Mew & Blob: Ik this is standard scarf set, but Icy Wind has also become quite common with Scarf Keldeo, not just Specs.

Lets rate this AD style.
Like I said before only your sets and spreads need some changes.
Because the synergy of the team is alright.

But here a new Spread for you TTar:

Tyranitar @ Leftovers/Chople Berry
EVs: 252 HP / 124 Atk / 36 Def /96 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Stone Edge
- Crunch
- Superpower/ Low Kick / Fire Punch

Yes, this is a spread from Nuggetbridge so credits to them. This TTar can live a unboosted Steel Gem Bullet Punch from Scizor and turns Choice Specs Draco Meteor from Latios in a 2HKO with Sand up. 124 Atk makes sure Crunch kills Lati@s. Fire Punch gives you the ability to OHKO Scizor in Sand after Stealth Rock damage. Superpower hits other TTar and Heatran as you said. Low Kick does the same to other TTar and Heatran but without the attackdrops

Jirachi @ Leftovers
252 HP / 224 Def / 32 Atk
Bold Nature
- Wish
- U-turn
- Iron Head
- Body Slam

I turned this into a Physical wall since TTar can handle most of the Special hits with his new spread and dish some damage.

Keep Lando that way, it can kill a lot unprepared.

Alakazam, keep it.

Since I'm gonna replace Keldeo for Rotom-W you lack a Scarfer. Maybe you could swing a Scarf on Mence and make it a late game sweeper.

Keldeo:
I'm throwing this pony out of here. Since you need something to counter Rain I would go with Rotom-W

Rotom @ Choice Specs/ Leftovers
Modest Nature
228 HP / 4 Def / 12 SpAtk / 12 SpDef / 252 Speed
-Thunderbolt
-Hydro Pump
-Hidden Power [Grass]
-Thunder/ Will O Wisp

Yes, another Nuggetbridge Set. Since I heard you talking about Status I edited WOW in it so you can run it with Lefties if you want. Also a nice Switch-in when Lando is dead for the incoming EQ's at TTar and Rachi. Lefties + WOW or just a Specs Set, your choice. Hoped this helped a little.

You got rid of so many Leboss-only sets that make this team special, like that Mence. Now it's a regular boring team again :\
Flamey, unless you have better suggestions, dont judge Dragon for the ones he proposed.
Well said :3
>> Hello, just saying.
In fairness the suggestion with Rotom-W is good. This team is incredibly weak to rain. Nothing on the team appreciates a Hydro Pump and those who can afford to switch in on one still take a good 50%. Then factor in hazards and sand damage.

252+ SpA Choice Specs Politoed Focus Blast vs. 188 HP / 0+ SpD Tyranitar in sand: 408-484 (105.15 - 124.74%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252+ SpA Choice Specs Politoed Hydro Pump vs. 0 HP / 0- SpD Salamence in rain: 252-297 (76.13 - 89.72%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252+ SpA Choice Specs Politoed Hydro Pump vs. 252 HP / 196+ SpD Jirachi in rain: 283-334 (70.04 - 82.67%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252+ SpA Choice Specs Politoed Hydro Pump vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Landorus in rain: 900-1062 (282.13 - 332.91%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252+ SpA Choice Specs Politoed Hydro Pump vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Alakazam in rain: 432-508 (171.42 - 201.58%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252+ SpA Choice Specs Politoed Hydro Pump vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Keldeo in rain: 206-243 (63.58 - 75%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

3 of the current members are OHKO'd.
1 is OHKO'd after rocks
1 is OHKO'd after rocks and 2 layers of spikes (40%) or OHKO after 3 layers and rocks.
Even Keldeo had a 40% chance of being OHKOd after rocks and spikes.

Whereas
252+ SpA Choice Specs Politoed Hydro Pump vs. 248 HP / 232+ SpD Rotom-W in rain: 131-155 (43.23 - 51.15%) -- 66.41% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock

This is considering Rotom actually has means of dealing with Poli. It is immune to Spikes and can use Pain split making it ideal. That was a special defensive set though.
With W.O.W you can shut down threats such as Scizor.

The current set will just die to quickly. With no spinner or Pokemon capable of easily disposing of Pokemon like Ferro (because Keldeo wouldn't have) it dies to quickly. LO, Sand and rocks means it will be dead after very few switch ins. Sure its a nice set but it isn't doing the team any favours. The team could really do with a scarf user that can easily clean up late game unlike Keldeo who does a better job of just picking off the individual Pokemon.
SDef Polo gets 3HKO'ed by Rotom Wash that AD suggested.
Who the hell runs special defensive Politoed? lol

Poli has no means of really attacking Rotom if it is to be a bulky varient. Not that it would stay in anyway. The point is that you need a reliable way of beating Politoed because nothing can afford to switch in n it. Everything on the team is either OHKO'd or KO'd after hazards. Any hard hitting water type is a massive threat especially as there isn't much that the current team can't hit them with.

Thats why I think Keldeo needs to go.
Hey, I run Specifically Defensive Poli :c
