Sun teams have always been plagued by other weather teams and entry hazards. In NU though, there are no instaweather users, so sun teams can do very well. With the addition of Natu, sun teams are not to be messed with in NU.
Illumise (F) @ Heat Rock

Trait: Prankster
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Timid Nature
- Sunny Day
- Encore
- Substitute
- Baton Pass
Yes, I have both Volbeat and Illumise. No, it is not a bad thing. With one of the best abilities in the game in prankster, access to Baton Pass and Sunny Day, both become one of the best weather inducers in the game. The point of the set is just to set up sunny day, and if possible, pass a sub. By passing a sub, my sweepers either get a free switch in or a free setup, which is crucial to this team.
Volbeat (M) @ Heat Rock

Trait: Prankster
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Timid Nature
- Baton Pass
- Substitute
- Sunny Day
- Encore
I just explained the exact same set, is this necessary?
Natu (F) @ Eviolite

Trait: Magic Bounce
EVs: 252 SDef / 252 HP / 4 Def
Careful Nature
- Light Screen
- Reflect
- Roost
- U-turn
Natu is an extraordinary dual screener and support pokemon. This pokemon is absolutely crucial to this team, as it not only eliminates the need of a cleric, but makes it much easier to set up with dual screens.
Victreebel (M) @ Life Orb

Trait: Chlorophyll
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Modest Nature
- Weather Ball
- SolarBeam
- Growth
- Sludge Bomb
Victreebel is an amazing pokemon that can just tear through teams with ease. It's special attack hits 656, enough to destroy almost anything. Backed by amazing coverage and speed. this thing is truly scary.
Sawsbuck (F) @ Life Orb

Trait: Chlorophyll
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Horn Leech
- Earthquake
- Return
- Swords Dance
When looking at sawsbuck. it may just look like a boring, normal, grass type. You are mistaken. After chlorophyll, it outspeeds swellow and ninjask, both being pokemon to beat. Nature power turns into earthquake, And dual stabs leave little pokemon safe from its massive power
Charizard (M) @ Life Orb

Trait: Solar Power
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Flamethrower
- Air Slash
- Dragon Pulse
- Hidden Power [Grass]
Outside of the sun, Charizard is a monster. In the sun? Ouch. Solar power, in exchange for health, boost special attack to devastating levels. Although it is short lived, it is extremely dangerous while alive.
I'm not gonna lie, I'm not that experienced in Sun, so all input is appreciated.
