There is like no 5th Gen teams anymore, so I will post one. I tried to base this around Jolteon, one of my favorites.
At a Glance:
Synergy:
The Team:
Jolts (Jolteon) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 Def
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch
- Signal Beam
- Hidden Power [Ice]
My Special Sweeper. This cute little puppy does amazing damage, and I have 2 STAB moves named Thunderbolt and Volt Switch. They do pretty good damage, and Volt Switch allows me to gain momentum. Signal Beam and Hidden Power [Ice] are for coverage, the former for T-Tar and Grass Types and the latter for Dragons and Grounds. The item and EVs are for raw power and to maximize Sweeping capabilities.
Sushi (Gyarados) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 168 Spd / 248 Atk / 88 HP / 4 Def
Jolly Nature
- Taunt
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Bounce
The Bulky Physical Sweeper. I picked Bulky so that he can survive a more hits than normal. Taunt over Sub since I can stop Stallers, and it's a useful move. Dragon Dance to give some power to Sushi here, and give him the chance to sweep. Waterfall and Bounce for my STAB moves and good secondary effects. The Ability is for powering down those silly Physical Attackers. Item for a bit of recovery.
Chomperz (Garchomp) @ Choice Band
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 HP
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Outrage
- Fire Fang
- Dragon Claw
The raw powerhouse. This thing can deal damage alright, and good damage. Earthquake, Outrage, and Dragon Claw are amazing STAB moves, and can kill a team. Fire Fang is for the Ice Types that may kill the Land Shark Pokemon, as he is 4x weak to it. Item is to maximize the power this thing has, and Nature and EVs are for trying to outspeed the bad threats.
Forretress @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spd
- Rapid Spin
- Stealth Rock
- Volt Switch
- Gyro Ball
The classic Lead and Spinner. Of course, you need Rapid Spin on a Spinner to get rid of the bad hazards. Stealth Rock is to get a hazard down and hurt the opponent when they switch in. Volt Switch is to quickly get out of battle, and to deal some kind of damage. Gyro Ball is STAB, and to take advantage of that terrible speed. EVs to maximize bulk and IVs and Nature to maximize the power of Gyro Ball.
Alakazam @ Focus Sash
Ability: Magic Guard
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Psyshock
- Signal Beam
- Focus Blast
- Hidden Power [Ice]
The Revenge Killer. He is powerful, and can kill of the rest of the teams as long as they don't have a lot of priority. Psyshock is amazing STAB, and can kill those annoying Blisseys that give Jolteon trouble. Signal Beam is for coverage, and can kill Dark types more accurately. Focus Blast for Steel types that destroy this set. Hidden Power [Ice] for coverage against Dragon types.
Jirachi @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 236 SDef / 252 HP / 20 Spd
Careful Nature
- Iron Head
- Body Slam
- Wish
- Protect
My Special Wall. This cute little wishmaker can be amazing, and annoys everyone with STAB Iron Head for 60% flinch chance. Body Slam for 60% paralysis chance, and to work well with the flinching. Wish and Protect for the healing, and can stall and scout.
