Welcome to my newest team in Smogons newest tier, PU (no one knows what PU stands for, so I'm assuming its a just a pun). PU is a tier below NU, so it's the worst of the worst. However, there's still a few diamonds in the rough, and these make up my team.

enter image description here
Barbaracle @ White Herb
Ability: Tough Claws
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Shell Smash
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
- Razor Shell
The first Pokemon I wanted to try out was Barbaracle, as it is incredibly powerful. With a single Shell Smash it can steamroll most of the tier, and I'm honestly surprised it sees so little usage. Shell Smash is obvious boosting, SE and Razor Shell is STAB and good coverage, with EQ rounding things of.

Scraggy @ Eviolite
Ability: Shed Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Drain Punch
- Dragon Dance
- Knock Off
- Poison Jab
The second Pokemon I wanted to use was Scaggy, a dangerous bugger from last gens NU. Albeit not as well known as a threat as Barbaracle, it is as dangerous or even more lethal. DD is incredibly good boosting, and it's STAB is both good coverage and healing/item removal. Poison Jab nails Fairies that otherwise threatens it. Eviolite was chosen over LO or similar as it is to frail to switch into anything otherwise. Shed Skin allows it to soak up a status move and heal it of (most of the time).

Musharna @ Leftovers
Ability: Synchronize
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Moonlight
- Heal Bell
- Toxic
- Substitute
Now, I needed some defence and support and I were thrilled to see Musharna in the tier. Heal Bell supports the team, which is very prone to status. Barbaracle/Scrafty is especially prone to Burns, and Musharna helps them tremendously. The rest of the moves make up a downright devious stall set. Moonlight makes it incredibly long lived, Toxic allows it to slowly whittle its foes down and Substitute allows it to stall out nearly any foe.

Rotom-Frost @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Volt Switch
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Trick
- Thunderbolt
Now I needed some special power, something that could sweep without setting up. I tried Articuno at first and it's Ice type was godsend in the tier, but it's SR weakness rendered it largely usless. Rotom-F on the other hand have better STAB and better scouting capacity. Choice Scarf puts it in a great speed-tier and works with Trick to cripple enemies after necessity. HP Ice>Blizzard because I hate missing, and Thunderbolt provides more power than Volt Switch. Thunderbolt was also chosen Shadow Ball as it is more powerful with STAB and Shadow Ball having really crummy coverage in PU.

Torterra @ Leftovers
Ability: Shell Armor
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Leech Seed
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Synthesis
Now I needed a physical wall, something that there is a severe lack of in PU. Torterra is one of the few viable, and the only with both SR and healing. EQ allows it to hit things relatively hard, whilst Leech Seed, SR and Synthesis supports the team. SR was a really important part, as half the tier is Bug/Flying.

Vullaby (F) @ Eviolite
Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Roost
- Whirlwind
- Defog
- Knock Off
Lastly, I wanted some more support in Defog and phasing. Vullaby became a near perfect fit. It is quite bulky, and provides just the support I need. Quite straightforward really.

Now, the team is quite successful, having gotten me to the top 40 on the PU ladder and 1400 in actual score. The "issue" of 2 physical sweepers isn't to bad as it might seem, as the only noteworthy physical walls are Torterra, Bastiodon, Avalugg, Golem and Gourgeist, all of whom is there dealt with by wilting down. The only real threat I've faced so far is Sneasel, as it can 2HKO the entire team bar Scraggy.

So there we have it, my first PU team. It is still in the testing phase and I would appreciate any help. I posted it this "early" as im doomed to lose rank at soe point or another (il update the team when I reach the throne o?O)

PU is in fact a pun for "Pee Eww", and doesnt legitimately stand for anything. :]
The academic says it's "Poorly Used."  Blame me for taking the speculation away. (Go on, I dare you lol.)
Antar, the official data miner for PS claimed it stands for PU, since the smogon council has not come up for a name for it. If it means Poorly Used, then it must be a recent name or something unofficial, same as the pun.
Why PU.
Why.
oh cool, barbarcle is PU. thats kinda asom. I'm not a megaextreme no-attack-moves-on-mushy fan though, but thats purely your choice
