Pokémon Rate My Team

I am trying to answer this question the way an administrator/ user has directed me to.
(Hope I am answering it correctly).
Sorry, this is for rating teams, not making them. You need to specify what you've stated is missing, as well as the intended game mode for your team. Note this community plainly does not accommodate team building threads. Thank you for that Fizz! I'm glad that you helped me ask a better question.

Here it goes.

I am missing a good competitive moveset for my Pokemon team in Gen 7. I currently have Evs, Nature, Items (ect.)
{Pokemon}{Item}{Evs (Currently)}

Necrozma - Weakness Policy - (Modest) - (Ev: 250 SpA, 250 Spd, 4 SpD, 4D)
Primal Groudon - Red Orb - (Adamant) - (Ev: 250 SpA, 250 Spd, 4 SpD, 4D)
Primal Kyogre - Blue Orb - (Modest) - (Ev: 250A, 250 Spd, 4 SpD, 4D)
Mega Mewtwo Y - Mewtwoite Y - (Timid) - (Ev: 250 SpA, 250 Spd, 4 SpD, 4D)
Mega Mewtwo Y - Mewtwoite Y - (Modest) - (Ev: 250 SpA, 250 Spd, 4 SpD, 4D)
Mega Rayquaza - Life Orb - (Adamant) - (Ev: 250 A, 250 Spd, 4 SpD, 4D)

Thank you very much for any help. (I will change the Evs when I think I found an amazing moveset)

First, you know that EVs always round down to multiples of 4, right? Second, EVs exist only to make Pokemon better at using their moves, so how can you know what EVs to use without knowing the moves?
I have planned these Pokemon to all have increased speed and increased attack/special attack (depending on stats)
(or for Rayquaza attack because of dragon ascent) That is why I have the Evs down,  and the nature down but not the others.

Do you have any recommendations for moves?
How do you know that max attack and speed is good?
These Pokemon with their most strongest trait would react best with the EV training than increasing other stats.
I understand EVs. What I need is a moveset.
I agree with sumwun, find a moveset first and EV spreads later. What you think might be good EVs might not be depending on the role, moveset and metagame. I'm not saying this to be mean or anything, but you really need to learn or find out a moveset by yourself first and understand it's role in your team.
Oh I get it now!
Then what should my move set be?
(I'll change the Evs after seeing their moveset)
If I gave you movesets for all of them, wouldn't it be my team, not yours? If you don't care about that, then you can copy movesets from Smogon. https://www.smogon.com/dex/sm/pokemon/
Also, are you sure you understand EVs? If yes, what stats would Necrozma have if you gave it 4 Def / 250 SpA / 4 SpD / 250 Spe? By how many points would they change if you gave it 8 Def / 248 SpA / 4 SpD / 248 Spe instead?

Alright, I'm assuming you are fighting a free rules match on USM. If so, here is what I suggest:

You can play Necrozma 2 ways. I highly recommend this first one:

Necrozma-Dawn-Wings/-Dusk-Mane; Item: Ultranecrozium Z
-Moongeist Beam/Earth Power
-Rock Polish
-Photon Geyser
-Dragon Pulse

I know you got your Items planned out, but I don't think Weakness Policy or Base Necrozma are good if you use Groudon or Kyogre. Moongeist Beam is if you choose to Fuse with Lunala. Rock Polish makes you fast enough when you go Ultra to out speed stuff like Deoxys-Speed, Mega Mewtwo Y, other Ultra Necrozma, and +1 Spe Rayquaza.

If you can't fuse or want to use Weakness Policy, at least use this set:

Necrozma; Item: Weakness Policy
-Rock Polish
-Photon Geyser
-Earth Power
-Thunderbolt

Earth Power is for Steel Types and Thunderbolt is for Steel/Flying or Dark/Flying Types. Rock polish is so you can Speed Up into a Sweep. :P

Primal Groudon
-Fire Punch
-Stealth Rock/Stone Edge
-Precipice Blades
-Thunder Punch/Rock Polish

Rock Polish and Stone Edge is if you want a Sweeping Pdon, Thunder Punch and Stealth Rock is if you want to create defensive pressure.

Primal Kyogre
-Thunder
-Ice Beam
-Origin Pulse
-Calm Mind/Rest/Thunder Wave

Thunder never misses in Heavy Rain and is Kyogre's best move against other Water Types. Calm Mind is for Being a devastating special wall, Rest is if you want some recovery, and Thunder Wave is if you want Kyogre or another Member out speed something or shutting down setup sweepers in general.

Timid Mewtwo-Mega
-Psystrike
-Recover/Calm Mind
-Thunderbolt
-Ice Beam

Recover if you want to live Longer and Calm Mind if you want to sweep. The notorious Bolt Beam combo is for coverage.

I'm changing an item again. :P

I don't think you should carry more than one mega to prevent an item from becoming a dead weight. :P

Modest Mewtwo; Item: Choice Scarf
-Psystrike
-Trick
-Shadow Ball
-Flamethrower/Focus Blast

With a Scarf, Modest Mewtwo should out speed and OHKO many Psychic and Ghost types you may encounter. Flamethrower is for accurate coverage; Focus Blast is for stronger, inaccurate coverage. Trick allows you to shut down a defensive Pokémon or a sweeper and hopefully give Mewtwo a Leftovers and a take-down in return.

I don't think Life Orb will be good for the Rayquaza set I suggest, so I change the Item once more. :P

Rayquaza@Flyinium Z/Roseli Berry/Yache Berry
-Dragon Ascent
-Dragon Claw/Outrage
-Earthquake
-Dragon Dance

The Z-Crystal is if you chose to use Weakness Policy on Necrozma. Rayquaza won't be able to Mega Evolve holding a Z-Crystal, but you already have a Mega Stone on Mewtwo, so if you did, you would have a dead weight item on your team. Roseli Berry is to survive a Moonblast from Geomancy Xerneas, and Yache Berry is to tank an Ice type attack. Use Outrage if you are confident you won't run into Fairy Types or you plan to KO all of them before you use Rayquaza. Earthquake Takes care of Steel types.

That is what I think. :P

Hope I Helped!

If all the movesets are made by you, then I don't think this is the MadPaPa person's team anymore. You might as well as have copied a sample team from Smogon.
The asker asked for "moveset guidance". Maybe he/she/it can learn from someone else's suggestions and improve them, even, as the need arises. That is to say, they might not know how to use a certain Pokémon and the first moveset might help them start expanding their knowledge on how to use that Pokémon or how they like to use that Pokémon. Like how "training wheels" or an example are given to some individuals as a novice, someone else might need help making movesets or want practice fitting EVs to a moveset. :P
In that case, I guess it is kind of the MadPaPa person's fault for not posting a full team on a RMT.

These are the movesets I would recommend. Plan your EVs according to their role. I have had great success with some (but not all) of these Pokemon and their movesets.

Necrozma (Special)
Morning Sun- for recovery
Photon Geyser- great power, STAB
Dark Pulse- good power and accuracy
Flash Cannon- good power and accuracy, used to deal with fairies when in Ultra Burst form

Primal Groudon (Mixed)
Solar Beam- coverage for water and ground types, charges in one turn with drought/ desolate land
Earthquake- great power and accuracy, STAB
Lava Plume- good power and accuracy, STAB
Bulk Up- raises attack and defense

Primal Kyogre (Special)
Ice Beam- coverage for grass
Surf- good power (better than scald) and accuracy (better than hydro pump), STAB
Thunder- good power and accuracy with ability
Calm Mind- Raises SpA and SpD

Mega Mewtwo Y (Special)
Psychic- great power, STAB
Aura Sphere- never misses, coverage for dark types
Shadow Ball- coverage for ghost types
Recover- reliable recovery

Mega Mewtwo X (Physical)
Brick Break- STAB, decent power
Poison Jab- good power and accuracy
Psycho Cut- STAB, decent power, good accuracy
Recover- reliable recovery

Mega Rayquaza (Physical)
Dragon Ascent- great power, makes it mega evolve, STAB
Dragon Claw- good power and accuracy, STAB
Dragon Dance- great stat boosting move
Extreme Speed- priority and good power

Why would you give Primal Kyogre Thunderbolt if Thunder is better? Why would you use Dragon Rush when it is fairly unreliable over Dragon Claw and Outrage? I don't think having 3 Megas is good for any Team, as some will become dead weight. I don't think they are able to change their natures easily. :P
It’s helpful to explain your suggestions as well. You’ve made a bunch of recommendations which are non-standard for the Pokémon you’re addressing (though that’s partially forgiven since the asker has not specified a game mode). Curious what your successes have been with sets like this.
To Staka- I gave it thunderbolt because it is more accurate than thunder. I actually meant to put dragon claw over dragon rush so sorry. I know that u can't control natures when ur catching them unless us soft reset until u get the right one. And the person who asked the question wanted to have three megas. I would have changed it but that's what they wanted.
To Fizz- I will add suggestions eventually but I ran out of time when I did this. The success that I have had has mainly been against friends so nothing super competitive. Btw I like to use different movepools than expected because I like to create my own ideas instead of copying Smogon.
Thunder is more accurate than thunderbolt when primordial sea is there. I understand that always using standard sets is boring, but at least trying to understand the standard sets and coming up with actually good reasons not to use them is a good way to learn the game.
I didn't realize thunder was more accurate with that ability. I guess it's because I don't have kyogre. Sorry about my lack of reasoning for using different movesets. But if I was just going to post the standard sets then that would be pointless because then the asking could just use Smogon instead of having me waste my time.
I told you to know and understand the standard sets. I never told you to post them.
Nice try but I actually do understand the standard sets. I'm not a noob like you might think I am just because I just joined the forums. I like to read about the recommended movesets before I make the moveset for my Pokemon. Im not a lazy Pokemon player, I'm actually the exact opposite. I plan everything out before I do it and use info from sites like this. So in the future, try not to assume somebody doesn't know what they're talking about just because their ideas are different than yours.
I'm all for creating your own ideas, I just don't think these sets are that great. I'm sorry if that sounds mean. I'll give some actual examples so I'm clearer this time:
- What value do you get out of Flash Cannon? Power and accuracy is great, but you're already getting that from Photon Geyser. Why not run Heat Wave, which lets you hit Steel-types that resist your main STAB?
- Why choose Dream Eater instead of Psychic? The latter is 10 BP weaker, but it requires no setup to use. In fact how are you setting up sleep to begin with?
- Infinite accuracy is nice, but Aerial Ace is also a non-STAB, base 60 attack. Unless you're getting 4x damage off it, a solid STAB like Zen Headbutt will deal the same or more damage, and far more consistently. Or will you not use that move because it has a 1 in 10 chance of missing?
I didn't put that much time into it. Also I didn't realize some of those things so thank you for helping me improve my movesets for myself. I will probably edit this with that in mind. Thanks again :)
I'm glad you told me those things Fizz! I didn't know Dream Eater was better when the opponent was asleep. That does make sense though with its name lol. I changed Aerial Ace to Psycho Cut because it is STAB and has better accuracy than Zen Headbutt. It also boosts the critical hit ratio so that's nice. I still kept Flash Cannon on Necrozma so it can deal with Fairies when it is in its Ultra Burst form. Thanks for your help :)
