Ok so I’m finally doing this. I won’t be replacing any team members, and I’ll try to keep the strategy for each Pokémon the same as possible. I just tweaked the team a bit, as you can see from the team I provided you in my comment. So, let’s get to it.
Ninetales-Alola @ Icy Rock
Ability: Snow Warning
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Aurora Veil
- Nasty Plot / Extrasensory / Psyshock
- Blizzard
- Moonblast
For the team I put in my comment, I forgot to change Ice Beam to Blizzard, since I’m going to try to make this a Hail team. I also wanted to suggest a Psychic type move over Nasty Plot, for poison types, but Nasty Plot could just as easily stay in the moveset (also, Psyshock is for Special Tanks, to hit them hard). That’s about it for Ninetales.
Glaceon @ Leftovers
Ability: Ice Body
EVs: 252 HP / 124 Def / 132 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Wish
- Freeze-Dry
- Toxic
- Protect
For Glaceon, I feel like Leftovers + Ice Body is better than the Mental Herb strategy you had. I mean, it wasn’t bad, but I personally prefer this set (by the way, this set was also changed from the team I made and posted as a comment). 252 HP is for bulk, and the EVs along with Calm make its Defense and Special Defense almost even (don’t judge me, I like things balanced :P). Wish is additional healing, Freeze-Dry hits water types super effectively, Toxic is for status, and Protect pairs nicely with Leftovers + Ice Body and can be used the turn after Wish to make it hard for your opponent to get damage off on you.
Mamoswine @ Choice Band / Life Orb
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Ice Shard
- Stone Edge
- Icicle Crash
I recommend a Choice Band, but since you don’t like Choice items, a Life Orb will work fine (though it has a worse negative than a Choice Band, in my opinion). Thick Fat is for lowering the damage of super effective Fire type attacks and normally effective Ice type attacks. The EVs are basic, just making out Attack and Speed. Jolly is for the speed boost. Earthquake is STAB, Ice Shard is priority STAB, Stone Edge is coverage, and Icicle Crash is the go-to STAB.
Weavile @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Ice Shard
- Triple Axel
- Brick Break
- Knock Off
Now, for Weavile, I highly recommend a Choice Scarf. Why? A Choice Scarf allows you to revenge kill your opponent’s Pokémon, which means, to my understanding, to knock them out quick after another of your Pokémon faints, and it is usually executed by a Pokémon with high speed + priority. Pressure is because Pickpocket is useless. The EVs are, again, simple, just allowing it to hit as hard and fast as possible. Jolly is for the speed increase. Ice Shard is priority STAB, Triple Axel is STAB that allows it to break subs, Brick Break hits Bisharp, and Knock Off is STAB that removes your target’s held item.
Lapras @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 204 HP / 164 Def / 64 SpA / 76 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Blizzard
- Whirlpool
- Perish Song
- Substitute
Ok. So Leftovers is recovery and Water Absorb means it can reliably switch into Water attacks targeting Mamoswine. The EVs are a bit all over the place, but they provide bulk while giving it decent Special Attack. Calm gives it more Special Defense, which is nice. Blizzard is STAB that works well with Nintales’s Snow Warning, Whirlpool traps the opponent, Perish Song knocks out the opponent after 3 turns since the opponent is trapped, and Substitute is so it’s hard for the opponent to get damage off on you, and the 25% of your HP that you lost will be healed by your Leftovers.
And finally, last but not least...
Froslass (F) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Cursed Body
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Taunt
- Spikes
- Destiny Bond
- Shadow Ball / Ice Beam
Here we go. Your lead, designed to use Taunt, set hazards, then die. A Focus Sash is pretty essential for this set, and it works well due to its bad 70/70/70 defenses. Cursed Body is to potentially disable a dangerous move, and if your opponent is choice locked, you can get them to Struggle. The EVs allow it to move fast and hit hard. I included no EVs invested into bulk so you can get down to your Focus Sash, and 0 IVs in HP, Defense, and Special Defense can also be used. Timid is for more speed. Since this is a lead, you’ll likely encounter other hazard setters who are leads, so Taunt is needed so the opponent will have to attack you, and their Stealth Rocks/Toxic Spikes/Spikes won’t be laid, and their status moves won’t work. After you force your opponent to attack you (assuming they don’t switch, and even if they do switch, this still works), set up a layer of Spikes. If your opponent switched, Taunt their new Pokémon. Get down to your Focus Sash, then use Destiny Bond, and your opponent will be forced to attack you (if they didn’t switch). The last move slot is taken up by STAB so Taunt doesn’t shut you down.
Hope this helps! :)
