So, I’ve come up with what I would think is a pretty good team, it has preformed very well for me so far but I feel like I’m missing something still.

Blacephalon @ Life Orb
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Mind Blown
- Expanding Force
- Shadow Ball
- Heat Wave

Coalossal @ Power Herb
Ability: Steam Engine
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Serious Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Meteor Beam
- Earth Power
- Heat Wave
- Protect

Regieleki @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Transistor
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 SpA
Mild Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Explosion
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch

Rillaboom @ Grassy Seed
Ability: Grassy Surge
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Grassy Glide
- Acrobatics
- High Horsepower
- Knock Off

Buzzwole @ Assault Vest
Ability: Beast Boost
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Ice Punch
- Drain Punch
- High Horsepower
- Leech Life

There are also a few other mons that I have had in the last slot such as a hard support comfey, a symbiosis oranguru with weakness policy and finally, what was probably the most successful of the lot, a mixed support dracopult who ran scald, breaking swipe and draco meteor.

This team is focused mainly on the Coalossil, almost always leading with both it and blacephalon. Steam engine plus mind blown is incredible, especially considering the 4x resist that coalossil has to fire type moves combined with its reasonable special bulk, only dealing a small percentage of damage to the coalossil, even considering fully invested spatt and life orb. Coalossil with max speed after a steam engine boost also out speeds max speed invested regieleki and most tailwinded mons.

The blacephalon literally just uses mind blown twice most of the time and self destructs, I’m not sure if I should scarf it or not just for the guaranteed first mind blown.

Regieleki is mostly just for coverage and baiting out ground types, rapid spin also helps in team support. Explosion is a great move against stuff like lando, as it does a huge chunk of damage even at -1

Rillaboom is the clear MVP of this team, grassy terrain both heals coalossil and protects it from EQ and bulldoze, grassy glide can deal with the vast majority of Pokemon dangerous to coalossil, and the general bulk and coverage offered by acrobatics grassy seed is crazy. Literally this Pokémon has carried this team so hard.

The buzzwole is a variety of one of my favourite sets, max hp max spdef assault vest Buzzwole, with this set not only can it live against the special threats that usually dominate it, it turns the tables on them, especially for psychic types on trick room teams. This buzzwole preforms extremely well if only for the surprise factor of it, as nobody is about to hit it with a physical attack over a special one. Unfortunately flying type moves still do instantly kill it in most cases but often times you can get an easy kill on landos that don’t expect ice punch

The team does reasonably well against most rain teams, as coalossil can obliterate pelliper with meteor beam after being given a speed boost and rillaboom destroys many water types on its own.

The largest problem that this team faces is trick room strategies, often times if they aren’t immediately desposed of (looking at you dusclops) it can severely impact the rest of the game, even though I practically would have gotten two free KO’s. I’m looking for something that will be able to deal with trick room while at the same time have use outside of that one specific niche. Please leave your thoughts and questions below

Why do you have two fire types?
It’s specifically for steam engine coalossil, fire and water type moves dealing damage to it give it +6 speed and blacephalon is the only Pokemon that gets access to mind blown
uhhhh...why is coalossal serious nature? Neutral natures are virtually useless.
Huh, twas an error i guess

hmm...
If you want a trick room answer I would suggest slowbro's standard moveset-
Slowbro @ leftovers
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind (set-up)
- Psyshock ( can handle special walls this way)
- Scald (stab and nasty chance to burn)
- Fire Blast (powerful coverage)
slowbro is a trick room counter and also a physical wall for you to fall back on.

Although out of topic, I want to congratulate you for you strategy .
the fact that 3 of your pokemon are below ou makes the suprise factor HUGE.
Hope I helped!

As much as I appreciate all of what you’ve said and suggested, slowbrow for some reason just doesn’t work on the team, as soon as you posted this I started attempting to use it and it ended up doing practically nothing, once again I thank ya for your help but it just didn’t work out...
thanks for the Info sythrus , I ll try some other pokes and tell you the right one ASAP

Hello! Sorry to keep you waiting .
I have seached out all trick room setters and their counters .
common trick room setters: Jellicent, Dusclops, Hatterene, Chandelure, Bronzong, Oranguru, and Gothitelle and partner Indeedee F for psychic surge for failing priority moves like fake out. If you can make out, most of em are ghost or psychic types .
here are all pokes who can learn trick room: https://pokemondb.net/move/trick-room
counters: obviously my previous suggestion fails here . So we need something different for all these trick roomers
Here it is--- Duraludon ! yes Duraludon It can learn dark pulse and obviously STAB flash cannon for hattrene.
It has 120 base S.Attack and has stalwart ( for follow me and rage powder)
moveset -
Duraludon@ assaualt vest ( has low s.def and can afford to not run a status move )
trait: stalwart
nature: mild
moveset-
- draco meteor ( powerful STAB)
- flash cannon (STAB)
-dark pulse ( already mentioned why)
- thunderbolt ( coverage)
Source of moveset - PS gen 8 random battles

Sythrus did you try it ? does it work??
Sorry that its taken me so long to respond, it did well back when this was origionally posted but the current meta is super harsh on this team

Couple of things: if you are going to run Steam Engine Coalossal, I suggest running this over what you have now:
Coalossal @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Steam Engine
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Meteor Beam
- Solar Beam
- Heat Wave
- Protect
and as your sixth mon:
Sneasel @ Eject Button
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
IVs: 0 SpA
- Surf
- U-Turn
- Night Slash
- Fake Out
This takes advantage of Steam Engine much better. You can also run Beat Up over Night Slash and have a mon with Justified (Virizion/Cobalion/Terrakion preferably), but I feel that won't fit well with the team
Secondly, why in the world are you running Mind Blown on Blacephalon? It's as useless as Steel Beam. Use Fire Blast, because now you aren't pretty much killing yourself trying to beat fire and ice types. Also run Psychic over Expanding Force because Tapu Lele isn't the most common character in the meta, and no one would bring it out against most of your mons anyway. That's all for now but the team looks pretty ok otherwise.

Go for Sneasel. It's ability Inner Focus is much better and helps when there are a lot of Fake Out users. Also, ensure 0 Sp.Atk so your ally takes the least damage. Also, Earthquake is halved in Grassy Terrain, so High Horsepower is better.
ensure 0 spa? wdym
also i'm a complete doofus, did i seriously just put "Nature: Serious" on coalossal smh
ah, sorry for the (very) late response, mind blown is for activating steam engine
and i kinda also want the blacephalon to die quickly to guarentee that i can deal with whatever counter awaits me
