This is the first National Dex UU team I built, and it's built around Mega Beedrill. Here is the Team Pokepaste.
Mega Beedrill
Beedrill-Mega @ Beedrillite
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Poison Jab
- Knock Off
- Drill Run
- U-turn
The star of the team. Pretty much a standard all-out attacking set.
Infernape
Infernape @ Focus Sash
Ability: Iron Fist
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Mach Punch
- Endeavor
- Stealth Rock
- Taunt
Suicide lead set. Sets up Stealth Rock, Taunts most opposing leads. Endeavor to quickly wear down opposing Pokemon's HP. Mach Punch is to revenge kill and pairs pretty well with Endeavor.
Regieleki
Regieleki @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Transistor
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch
- Rapid Spin
- Extreme Speed
Regieleki deals with flying types and forms a VoltTurn core with Mega Beedrill. Heavy Duty Boots is so that Regieleki won't be consistently chipped by entry hazards. Thunderbolt is STAB. Volt Switch is for pivoting. Rapid Spin clears away hazards on your side which helps out Mega Beedrill. Extreme Speed is for revenge killing.
Keldeo
Keldeo @ Leftovers
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Secret Sword
- Calm Mind
- Substitute
Pretty much a fire type check to deal with fire types. It also deals with rock types. Standard Substitute + Calm Mind set.
Honchrow
Honchkrow @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Moxie
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Brave Bird
- Sucker Punch
- Night Slash
- Roost
Psychic type check. Brave Bird is STAB. Sucker Punch is priority STAB. Night Slash is also here because not everyone attacks you. Roost is for healing.
Forretress
Forretress @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Rapid Spin
- Toxic
- Spikes
- Volt Switch
Entry Hazard setter. Although Mega Beedrill hates having hazards on its side, it loves hazards on the opposing side to put them into a OHKO range. Forretress helps with that. Rapid Spin clears away hazards on your side. Toxic to poison Pokemon. Spikes is for an entry hazard. Volt Switch is for pivoting.
Things to keep in mind while rating this:
Should I replace Night Slash with Superpower so Honchrow can deal with steel types? Do I need Rapid Spin on Forretress? I've been doing ok with two spinners, but I'm not sure if that's necessary.
Thanks for reading!
