Scolipede (F) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Speed Boost
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Megahorn
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
Scolipede can sometimes sweep for me depending on the accuracy of the attacks and the opponent's Pokemon. Great coverage, but Air Balloon can be a problem with Pokemon like Magnezone and Heatran. And accuracy isn't perfect with Megahorn and Rock Slide. Focus Sash is there to be able to at least live the first turn and gain speed from Speed Boost, hopefully being able to respond with a sweep.
Gengar (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Cursed Body
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Sludge Wave
- Shadow Ball
- Psychic
- Focus Blast
Gengar is here as a wallbreaker and can respond to threats like steel types with Focus Blast. I try to make mine speedy with its EVs and Choice Scarf to avoid fast threats. Idk if Choice Specs would be better tho for increased damage. I think Gengar's special attack is pretty high and so I just went with what Smogon provided. I'd like to know if that was the right choice. I also switched Dazzling Gleam for Psychic because Psychic has higher power. Is it viable?
Salazzle @ Black Sludge
Ability: Corrosion
EVs: 248 HP / 8 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Toxic
- Protect
- Substitute
- Flamethrower
Great for responding to steel types and being able to stall out Pokemon with poison + Substitute/Protect. Corrosion makes it so steel types aren't immune to poison and so I can cover more of my weaknesses. It helps me get through many threats.
Roserade (F) @ Black Sludge
Ability: Natural Cure
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Giga Drain
- Protect
- Leech Seed
- Spikes
I'm going for a more bulky Roserade with utility and scrapped Smogon's Choice Scarf, Leaf Storm, and Sludge Bomb. Thoughts on that decision? Giga Drain to take advantage of its decent special attack even without investment and to retain some offensive pressure. Leech Seed+Black Sludge and Protect help me stall out many opponents. Also an answer to ground moves because of grass typing. Great for entry hazards, though I removed Toxic Spikes because my Drapion has them. Should I change the moveset? I'm considering moves like Aromatherapy for healing status for my team (I have trouble with paralysis somtimes) and Synthesis (is more consistent in healing compared to Giga Drain but sacrifices potential dmg). Are they worth it?
Slowking-Galar (F) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
- Future Sight
- Sludge Bomb
- Earthquake
- Flamethrower
Great special tank with Assault Vest. Future Sight is what Smogon suggested. I believe it's to help force out pokemon and because of its higher power. Is Psychic viable though? Can it be better sometimes? Earthquake for pokemon like Heatran. Flamethrower for covering steel types and others.
Drapion (F) @ Black Sludge
Ability: Battle Armor
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 200 SpD / 56 Spe
Careful Nature
- Knock Off
- Protect
- Toxic
- Toxic Spikes
Helps by switching into psychic moves due to immunity. Also a bit of special wall with the EVs Smogon provided but can fall to strong attacks easily. I noticed the speed helps me outpace slower opponents (wondering if it's necessary tho) and Drapion's not bad at tanking hits even without full defensive investment. Wondering if the EVs should be changed, however. Also wondering if I should take any moves out for Poison Jab or Earthquake like Smogon suggested.
I'm wondering if I should bring in Wheezing Galar for ground immunity and defog (though that wouldn't be good for my own entry hazards) or Toxapex for more physical bulk. I'm also curious about my decisions on mostly Roserade and Drapion's moves and if I should switch some out for potentially better ones.
