I chose to build around Chien-Poa because I like the power of Sword of Ruin plus priority moves. I gave it focus sash so that it could survive things that out speed it and get a surprise KO. It is also still good with 1% it has high speed plus Sucker Punch. I find it can often 1HKO important pokemon if given the opportunity, so it 252 speed and atk to do that with more consistency. Ghost makes it immune to 4x effective Fighting and Extreme Speed.
Dragonite is quite good with Chien-Poa as well as taking down Fighting and Ground pokemon. I gave it extreme speed for the solid priority attack. I made it Tera Flying + Tera blast for Amoonguss, Hands, and great tusk. It also keeps it flying type for immunity to ting lu and great tusks main moves. I gave it outrage + choice band to do crazy neutral damage.
Palafin is form rock pokemon which this team is takes 2x from. Jet punch for priority, wave crash for high damage. I have haze to cancel burns, Ruin abilities, and Dondozo. I have just a hp, attack spread to take hits and dish out lots of damage. Tera water for higher damage Jet Punch.
I have arcanine for some attack reduction with will o wisp and intimidate. I gave it E Speed to synergize with Chien Poa and for neutral damage. Safety goggles for great match up vs amoonguss.
I have a lot of physical attackers so I thought I should bring something else. Flutter Mane has fairy moves for Dark and Fighting pokemon, both types used a lot in this meta. Flutter is good against dark and fighting. It can also take on other ghost pokemon like dragopault. I gave it booster energy to try to out speed other flutters and because chien poa has the focus sash. It has tera fairy to resist ghost. I would do bulky set but I’m not good with dmg calcs.
I added chi yu to synergize with flutter mane and give another dimension to the team. I gave it scarf and 252 speed and SpA to be a fast sweeper. Tera ghost to gain immune to fighting and normal.
I know this team really struggles with rock slide if I don’t get hero palafin or something else to knock out the user.
