Very nice and energetic, however, miserably weak (on purpose) in battle as she is the first gym leader. The preceding used to be true, but no longer. Over the years, Fernette has become ruthlessly and mercilessly scathing, laughing with unabashed braggadocio. When she loses, she cries theatrically. She has been exploited numerous times as an inexperienced gym leader.
