What do you mean? Monotypes aren't a tier by themselves, it's just a team that's comprised completely of one type of Pokemon, it still has to obey the tiers system.

I'm not sure what you're asking.
Yeah, they kinda are. At least PO does, it has a list of banned Pokemon from Monotype. Oh, wait, that's Monocolour xD Sorry. I think there's a banlist though....

Oh, hahaha. I know they have one for Monocolor, I asked that question. But what about type? Do they have one?
K so I'm not sure if this applies to Showdown but here is a link with some banned pokemon listed,
http://pokemon-online.eu/forums/showthread.php?4296-Monotype-Tier-Rules
Then I found this, "In the Monotype tier rules of both Smogon and Pokemon Online (they are the same)" quoted from the question in this link.

Monotype Limitations

"Monotype Ubers
Arceus, Darkrai, Deoxys-A, Dialga, Giratina, Giratina-O, Groudon, Ho-Oh, Kyogre, Latias, Latios, Lugia, Manaphy, Mewtwo, Ninetails, Palkia, Politoed, Rayquaza, Reshiram, Shaymin-S, Vulpix, Zekrom, Blaziken

The following pokemon are allowed for a trial period:
Hippopotas, Hippodown

The following are Limited to two per team:
Dragonite, Garchomp, Hydreigon, Kyurem, Salamence

It's also listed under the 5th gen tier list."

Is this allowed, or not allowed? I'm still confused...
