Landorus T @ Life Orb
EVs: 252 att, 4 spe, 252 def (yo]1u can switch over the spe and def)
Nature: Adamant (+att, -spa) or Jolly (+spe, -spa)
Trait: Sheer Force
Moveset:
Earthquake: STAB, coverage, just a must
Gravity: Takes down levitate and flying types to be hit with Earthquake/ HP: extra coverage
Swords Dance: Sets up Earthquake sweep
Rock Polish: Makes Landorus a monster

Lets face it, Landorus is only in the meta because of rocks and slight damage. But this set makes landorus a threat that can OHKO pretty much everything. Start of with a Rock Polish, then a swords dance, and just click Earthquake for the remain of the match. You can use gravity if scarm comes out, or HP for extra coverage.

Suicidal landorus therian
Landorus@liechi berry/life orb/salac beryy
252atk/252spe/4hp
Adamant /jolly nature
Moves:
- sword dance
- Explosion
- earthquake
- stone edge/knock off/u turn
Surprised no one mentioned the destructive power of explosion
Start off with sword dance, if opponent swaps to something undesirable then stone edge against ice or just explode. If not, just make urself to a desirable health range and just explode. Life orb can speed up process or salac berry give higher chance of moving first or liechi for more power.
Anyways, I've always wondered what's inside of landorus.

Gen 7

Landorus (M) @ Psychium Z
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Gravity
- Earth Power
- Sludge Wave
- Focus Blast

Psychium Z is for Z-Gravity, which raises your special attack and sets up Gravity. Earth Power is STAB and under Gravity, can hit flying and levitating Pokemon that would normally be immune to it outside of Gravity. Sludge Wave is for coverage that is boosted by Sheer Force. Focus Blast is coverage and has better accuracy during the effects of Gravity.

Offensive Gravity Pivot (Ground)
Gen 8 Monotype

Landorus-Therian (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Gravity
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- U-turn

This set allows Landorus-Therian to serve as an offensive Gravity pivot on ground Monotype teams. Gravity is to allow you to ruin the dreams of Pokemon like Celesteela and provides team support, since it allows your teammates to being to use ground their STABs on Pokemon that would normally be immune to them. Swords Dance is to boost your attack. Earthquake is for ground STAB and can hit Pokemon like Celesteela while the Gravity effect is up. U-Turn is for pivoting and allows you to bring in teammates like Choice Band Excadrill while Gravity is in effect.

Gen 8 Monotype (Flying)

Landorus-Therian (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Imprison
- Earthquake
- Knock Off

This is a lead set I've been using on a Flying mono offense, and is works pretty well. Stealth Rock is for setting up an entry hazard that chips Pokemon switching in. Imprision is how you prevent Stealth Rock from getting on your side. How? Imprison prevents the opponent from using the same moves you have, meaning when you have a slower Stealth Rock setter and you use Imprison, they won't be able to use Stealth Rock. Earthquake is for ground STAB. Knock Off provides utility by removing items from opposing Pokemon.

Gen 8 Doubles OU

Landorus (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Earth Power
- Sludge Bomb
- Psychic / Focus Blast / Substitute
- Protect

With Landorus-T struggling in the current meta, Landorus-I has begun terrorising the tier. Earth Power is powerful ground STAB, OHKOing or 2HKOing everything that doesn't resist it (except Amoonguss). Sludge Bomb is coverage, notably hitting Rillaboom and Tapu Fini super effectively. Psychic 2HKOs Amoonguss, one of the few Pokémon that can safely take Lando-I's main two attacks, while Focus Miss, assuming it hits, does big damage to Porygon2, Celesteela, and Assault Vest Kyurem-B (also OHKOs offensive Kyurem-B if they don't have Chople Berry). Substitute is also an option that allows Lando-I to take advantage of the Protects and Switches that it forces, letting it take an additional hit and block status effects such as Amoonguss' Spore. However, this leaves it unable to hit the newly popular Celesteela. Protect allows Lando-I to scout for certain attacks and avoid all damage for a turn while your ally can still attack or set up.

Just a slight power increase, but Sludge Wave is better than Sludge Bomb since the 30% poison doesn't matter because of Sheer Force.
Spread moves do 25% less damage in doubles than they do in singles, so Sludge Bomb is more powerful here.
Oh lol forgot it's doubles, something new you learn every day :x

Gen 8 SS Monotype Defog (Flying)

Landorus-Therian (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 40 Def / 216 SpD
Careful Nature
- Earthquake
- U-turn / Stealth Rock / Protect / Knock Off
- Defog
- Toxic

This is the bulky Defog set Landorus-Therian can use on Flying-type teams. Earthquake is used for a consistent STAB move. Defog lets you clear away Stealth Rock for your teammates, which is appreciated by Flying-types who aren't wearing Heavy-Duty Boots. Toxic is used to spread poison, which is useful against opposing Landorus-Therian, Tornadus-Therian, Zapdos, and Rotom-Wash. U-turn allows you to pivot and bring in a teammate. There are options you can use over U-turn. Stealth Rock, while weird on a Defog set, allows you to also have a Stealth Rock setter. Protect lets you scout opposing Pokemon and works well with Toxic. Protect also gives Landorus-Therian a free turn of Leftovers recovery. Knock Off lets you remove crucial items from Pokemon such as Celesteela, Porygon2, and opposing Landorus-Therian.

Wouldn't you generally want Corviknight as the fogger and Landorus-T as the Stealth Rock setter since it's pretty much the only good Pokemon on flying that can use Stealth Rock?
Corviknight doesn't have to use Defog, as there is also an IronPress and a Sub BU set it can use.

Gen 9 Monotype Pivot (Flying)

Landorus-Therian (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
Tera Type: Ground
EVs: 252 HP / 40 Def / 216 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Taunt
- U-turn

With HOME being released, Flying teams can now use Landorus-Therian (and Thundurus-Therian) as the Electric immunity once again, meaning Kilowattrel is no longer needed on Flying teams (unless you use Rain Flying, where you would want Kilowattrel over Thundurus-Therian due to its ability to outspeed Greninja and access to Hurricane and Weather Ball). This set allows Landorus-Therian to be a nice pivot. Stealth Rock is used to setup a hazard that chips opposing Pokemon switching in. Earthquake is used for a powerful Ground STAB. Despite Landorus-Therian losing a useful tool in Knock Off, it did gain a useful tool in Taunt. Taunt lets Landorus-Therian stop defensive Pokemon from setting up hazards and spreading status, as well as preventing setup sweepers from setting up against it. U-turn lets Landorus-Therian switch out and bring in a teammate while chipping opposing Pokemon. Crunch can be an option to let Landorus-Therian hit Air Balloon Gholdengo, but you can just use U-turn and come back later. Leftovers is used to give Landorus-Therian some HP recovery.

252 HP EVs is used for bulk. 216 Speed EVs with a Jolly Nature allow it to outspeed Glimmora to prevent it from setting up Stealth Rock. The speed is also nice for outspeeding non Choice Scarf Gholdengo. The rest of the EVs are used in Defense for more physical bulk. The EV spread makes this more of a faster pivot. If you want a more defensive EV spread, you can use an EV spread of either 252 HP / 228 SpD / 28 Spe with Careful Nature or 252 HP / 228 Def / 28 Spe with an Impish Nature, both using enough speed EVs to outspeed Tinkaton that isn't running Speed EVs.

Gen 9 National Dex

Landorus-Therian @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
Tera Type: Ice / Ground
EVs: 140 HP / 252 Atk / 116 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Stone Edge
- Tera Blast / Explosion / Defog

  • Landorus-Therian has firmly cemented itself as the best Pokemon in the National Dex metagame, being able to fit on any team that isn't stall. Its typing grants it two hugely important and often mandatory immunities in Ground and Electric, letting it block Earthquake and Volt Switch users like opposing Landorus-T and Tapu Koko. This Scarf set makes use of all of Landorus's valuable traits and complements its well rounded stats and great movepool, allowing it to be used as a pivot, late game cleaner, and wallbreaker
  • Earthquake is an excellent STAB move that threatens most Pokemon that aren't immune to it with a 2HKO. U-turn is a super-effective hit on some Pokemon like Ogerpon-Wellspring, Serperior, Rillaboom and Mega Latias that can take Earthquake. It pairs greatly with Intimidate as most physical attackers will be forced to switch out because of the attack drop, so with U-turn you can react to what they bring in and send out the appropriate check. Stone Edge is necessary coverage for Zapdos, Mega Charizard Y, and Tornadus-T, since they possess an Earthquake immunity and do not take much from U-turn. Tera Blast + Tera Ice KOes Gliscor, opposing Landorus-T, Dragonite, and Garchomp. Tera Ice also provides it with a resistance to Weavile's Ice Shard but comes with the downside of making it weak to Stealth Rock and removing its Flying typing makes it additionally weak to Spikes and Toxic Spikes. Tera Ground can be used instead, with Explosion in the last slot as a nuke option that generates momentum for your team. Defog is a utility option that allows it to take advantage of the fact that it forces out many hazard setters (for example Heatran, Mega Diancie, opposing Landorus-T). However being locked into Defog can be exploited and results in a momentum loss for your team.
  • This EV spread is a recent update from the smogon spread, which previously used enough speed investment to outspeed Zamazenta by one point. Since Zamazenta is now banned, Mega Lopunny is the next most important speed benchmark. 116 EVs + Jolly outspeeds Mega Lopunny by one point and the rest can be placed into bulk and attack since this is a more offensively focused set. Bulkier scarf spreads use 152 HP / 64 Atk / 176 Def / 116 Spe and according to Smogon, ensure that it survives Choice Specs Iron Valiant's Moonblast and two of Mega Medicham's Zen Headbutts after Stealth Rock.
  • Choice Scarf Landorus-T is a fixture of balanced and offensive teams, which appreciate it for its speed control and Ground-Flying typing compressing an Electric immunity and Ground immunity into one single team slot. It is checked by Pokemon like Ferrothorn, Alomomola, and Zapdos (Landorus-T and Gliscor as well if not terastalized). Tapu Lele is a great teammate, as it can be brought in against these Pokemon and threaten all of them with STAB Psychic except for Ferrothorn. Alomomola is another great teammate as it keeps Landorus healthy with its Wish passing and resists Water and Ice letting it switch into Weavile, Mega Swampert and Urshifu-R.
