If you have a good competitive moveset for Excadrill, post an answer below and upvote the best ones. Movesets for its pre-evolutions, if any, can also be shared on this thread.

Be sure to include full set details in your post, e.g. items, abilities, natures and EVs. Some detail, including the intended game mode for your set, is also appreciated. Access the full list of guidelines here.

Excadrill Pokédex and learnset for reference.

Likely tier: Underused
"Likely tier: Underused" 6 months later...
Real Tier Overused 6 months even later....
And Uber even later!
Meh. It wouldn't be there if not for Sand Rush. I use a Mold Breaker Scarf Set.
Though I use an awesome one I would say OVERUSED
And back to ou in gen 8.

Excadrill (M) Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Sand Force / Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk
Adamant Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Earthquake
- Iron Head
- Swords Dance

Rapid Spin- For removing hazards like spikes and stealth rock plus a speed boost which does well with its ability

Earthquake-Strong STAB move also covers fire weakness

Iron Head- strong STAB move also has a chance to flinch that might save a game

Swords Dance-For boosting its attack and it pairs well in sandstorm cause ability

Heavy Duty Boots- to be immune to hazards and have rapid spin to remove them

(this is my first time posting so if its bad thats my fault)

Did you mean to put Sand Rush over Sand Force on the set, or do you actually mean Sand Force?

VGC REG H DOUBLES
Excadrill @ Clear Amulet
Ability: Sand Rush
Level: 50
Tera Type: Ground / Rock
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant / Jolly Nature
- Iron Head
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide / High Horsepower
- Protect

I chose clear amulet over a focus sash swords dance because of incin and parting shot grim. If I were to lead with excadrill and the opponent leads with incin, I would have to spend a turn setting up swords dance to counter the attack decrease and even then they could just parting shot me and I waste whole turn. Sand rush is the only viable ability, especially for a team without tailwind. Max attack max speed is also standard on a clear amulet set. Here, you can decide the nature, with adamant ideal for tailwind teams as you have already increased your speed so much, making it jolly is a bit of an overkill. Meanwhile jolly is more ideal for teams lacking tailwind or any speed control. Iron head and eq are for STAB. Rock slide is coverage and more multi hit, great for the up and coming dragonite meta, or you could go for High Horsepower to counter wide guard but still have stab. Rock tera is to boost rock slide damage while ground is to boost eq.
