Here's a brief list

Draco meteor: the most powerful attack
Dark pulse: STAB
Dragon pulse: STAB
Focus blast: good coverage with his stabs, inaccurate
Fire blast: great for steel types, bug types and ice types
Flamethrower: see above
Earth power: more steel coverage, accurate powerful and may lower opponents special defense
Surf: a good, powerful, neutral attack with decent coverage
Charge beam: weak, but hydreigon's only way of boosting

You want sets? Here's an interesting set up set.

[email protected] orb or leftovers
Ability: levitate
Nature: modest (timid may also be used)
Evs: 4 hp 252 sp atk 252 spd
Dragon pulse
Charge beam

Quick correction: hydreigon can also boost with work up.

Some nice Special Moves are:

  • Dragon Pulse
  • Flamethrower
  • Fire Blast
  • Dark Pulse
  • Hyper Voice
  • Tri Attack
  • Draco Meteor
  • Surf
  • Earth Power

Personally, I think the best set for Hydreigon is...

Hydreigon @ Choice Specs
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 SAttk / 252 Spd / 4 HP
Modest Nature
-Draco Meteor/Dragon Pulse
-Flamethrower/Fire Blast
-Dark Pulse

Hydreigon has a wide Movepool of Special Attacks that it can put it's massive Base 125 Special Attack Stat to use. There include:

  • Draco Meteor- An extermely powerful STAB that will often KO anything that doesn't Resist it. Keep in mind that it has the negative side effect of Lowering it 's Special Attack by 2 Stages.
  • Dragon Pulse- A Weaker yet still powerful STAB Attack that eventually outpowers Draco Meteor after a few uses.
  • Dark Pulse- A Dark Type STAB Attack that provides just as much Coverage as it does power. Has an occasional flinch rate.
  • Tri Attack: An Attack fired off by ALL THREE heads that is useful for it's 20% chance to inflict a Burn, Poison, or Paralysis. Not suggested despite how cool it looks.
  • Earth Power- A great Coverage option that removes the Steel Type resisting it's Dual STABs in Dark and Dragon Type Attacks. Highly Suggested, a must use on any set.
  • Flamethrower/Fire Blast- Alternate options to remove the Steels that resist the Brutal Pokemon's Dual STABs. Earth Power is a superior choice.
  • Heat Wave- Another alternate choice to remove the Steels that resist it's STABs that are actually useful in Double Battles.
  • Charge Beam- An Electric Type Coverage option that can also Raise it's already exceptional Special Attack to dangerous levels. Useful strategy to negate Draco Meteor's side effect.
  • Surf- A Water Type Coverage Option that is also useful in Double Battle modes.

Below will be some standard Sets that can use some of the Moves listed above.

Special Tank- SubCharge Set

Hydreigon (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 176 HP / 52 Def / 172 SAtk / 108 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Draco Meteor
- Earth Power
- Charge Beam
- Substitute

A unique but popular Set that makes use of the powerful Draco Meteor while negating it's nasty side-effect with Charge Beam. The given Set takes advantage of it's surprisingly nice Bulk, allowing it to outspeed several Pokemon while also surviving the inevitable Mach Punch or Ice Shard from Breloom or Mamoswine, respectively.

Scarf Set

Hydreigon (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 36 Def / 220 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- U-turn
- Draco Meteor / Dragon Pulse
- Earth Power
- Surf / Flamethrower

A Basic Scarf Set that patches up it's middling Speed and while decimating the opponents Team.

Tri attack inflicts freeze instead of poison.
