Why super effective of course. STAB gives a boost of x1.5, while exploiting a weakness gives you a x2 damage multiplier.

Plus, if they are combined it is x3! And of course, a double weakness is x4 on its own so all together you can get up to x6!!
Just wanted to mention that Adaptability makes it so that STAB moves give a 2x boost instead of the 1.5x boost.

Super effective is better. STAB does 1.5x damage and Super effective does 2x damage.

I think you can’t even compare these. They’re both too much of their own thing. While super-effectiveness does lead to more damage, STAB is always available if you have a damaging move of the same type as (one of) yours. Additionally, if you have the Tera boost as well as STAB, that is guaranteed 2x damage, so it could even be argued that STAB is better.

If they stack, though, then they are great paired together for big sweeps.

super effective is better. while STAB only boosts when a Pokemon uses a move of its type, which has a max amount of 2 types, super effectiveness has 33.3333333% more boosts than STAB bonus, and most Pokemon have more than 2 weaknesses, unlike STAB. take dragon-ice types, like kyurem or frigibax. they have 5 weaknesses without forests curse. and with more power than STAB, it is easier to hit it with a super effective move, than with stab bonus.
