Hoaw does normalize work?

my newborn skitty has the ability Normalize and I tried to see what happens when I battle with it ,but it doesn't show anything when I go in the tall or taller grass.

Normalise makes all of your Skitty's moves act like a Normal type move. It will not change the moves appearance in the summary, which is why this Ability can be confusing.

So for example, if your Skitty learnt Faint Attack, it would act like it was a Normal type move instead of the ordinary Dark.

It also means that all of Skitty moves will receive STAB (Skitty being the same type).

All of your Pokemon's moves become the Normal-type. Really, your moves are ineffective to Ghost, and low damage to Rock and Steel-type Pokemon. Any other Pokemon will be affected normally.
