What does the WEP number mean on Pokemon Platinum?

I was trying to get wi-fi on my Pokemon Platinum but it wants a WEP number what is that?

WEP stands for Wired Equivalent Privacy and is a security algorithm for certain wireless networks (It's kinda outdated now. xD)
So I believe that you have like a passcode you have to type in to be able to access your wifi. So if you don't know what it is you'll need to ask a family member or something like that.
