Chesnaught @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Overgrow / Bulletproof
Evs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 HP
Nature: Adamant / Jolly
-Hammer Arm / Superpower
-Wood Hammer
-Earthquake
-Poison Jab / Shadow Claw / Stone Edge

Even though his Fighting STABs lower his stats, he can just switch out, which will also unlock his moves. his STABs will probably kill the opponent, and you might need to switch anyways because they might send in a Ghost type.

Belly Drum Sweeper

Chesnaught @ Shell Bell
Trait: Bulletproof
Nature: Impish (Def+,SpA-)
EVs: 252 Def, 252 Atk, 4 HP

Belly Drum
Drain Punch
Spiky Shield
Leech Seed OR Rock Slide

Belly Drum gives four Swords Dances instantly, but you need to heal after use. To take care of that, set up Leech Seed first. After the Belly Drum, either Drain Punch (if your opponent is slower than you) or Spike Shield yourself. ( Scope out their move pool, if they're hitting physically, deal some damage. Very risky, but if you manage a OHKO, you're set. Sweep'em with Drain Punches, staying at high health. Alternatively, replace Leech Seed with Rock Slide for coverage against Flying, Fire, and Ice types, which can hurt Chesnaught. Please vote me up!

A Chesnaught with a special move because yes

Chesnaught @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Bulletproof
Nature: Brave
EVs: 4 HP / 168 Atk / 252 Def / 84 SpA

Drain Punch (health recover, with STAB it can make you survive)
Spiky Shield (Spiky Shield + Rocky Helmet = YEAH!!)
Wood Hammer (power, power, power. With Drain Punch the recoil doesn't really matter)
Sludge Bomb (that is the special move. It covers Fairy too)

Gen 7 NFE

Quilladin @ Eviolite
Ability: Bulletproof
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 72 Def / 180 SpD
Careful Nature
- Drain Punch / Taunt / Toxic
- Spikes
- Synthesis
- Super Fang / Wood Hammer

Drain Punch is for doing chip damage to the opponent and can help you recover some HP. Taunt can be used to stop other Pokemon from using status and setup moves. Toxic is another option that can slowly wear down the HP of opposing Pokemon. Spikes is to set up an entry hazard. Synthesis is for healing. Super Fang is to chip opposing Pokemon. Wood Hammer can be used instead for a STAB move.

A lot of pros, but a lot of cons, that is what I noticed about this starter

GEN VII
Chesnaught @ Leftovers/ Big Root
Ability: Bulletproof
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 Def
Nature: Adamant
- Seed Bomb
- Drain Punch
- Shadow Claw
- Bulk Up/ Spiky Shield

This set make use of Chesnaught's good attack and defenses
Seed Bomb and Drain Punch are STAB
Shadow Claw is for coverage
Bulk Up is the clear setup move here. Spiky Shield protects you and can do damage to most physical attackers

Chesnaught @ Leftovers
Ability: Bulletproof
EVs: 252 HP / 92 Atk / 8 Def / 156 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Spiky Shield
- Bulk Up
- Drain Punch
- Wood Hammer

Now let me discuss about my absolutely annoying tank that is Chesnaught. With Leftovers and so high Sp. Def and Def it is a good item. Not to mention the extra 6% recovery if you spawn a Spiky Shield. You may have seen I didn't give it EVs in Def and Atk. That's because of Bulk Up. It's a good move for my Chesnaught because it already has high HP and Sp. Def so no need to worry about Flamethrower or Ice Beams. Bulk Up will boost your Def and Atk that it is lacking. Then Wood Hammer one of the best grass type moves. After a single Bulk Up, Wood Hammer is basically a one hit kill on neutral typing. Well I am more of the high risk high return so I use it. You can use Seed Bomb too. And Drain Punch is for STAB and to recover HP lost in Wood Hammer.

Chesnaught @ Blunder Policy
Ability: Bulletproof
EVs: 252 Atk / 8 SpD / 248 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Belly Drum

- Seed Bomb
- Drain Punch
Basically a Fast and Strong sweeper if you use it correctly.I personally like this set because it is basically a better Breloom since it cant learn belly drum
Belly Drum is for the AMAZING attack boost
Stone Edge is cover AND could possibly activate the Blunder Policy
Seed Bomb and Drain Punch is for stab and healing
Overall, I recommend you trying this set because it's very interesting

Physical Wall
Imagine GIF | Gfycat
Chesnaught (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Bulletproof
Evs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
-Spiky Shield
-Drain Punch / Synthesis / Seed Bomb
-Leech Seed
-Spikes

-Spiky Shield Deals 1/8 of a Pokemon's maximum HP when Contact is made while protecting you at the same time. It's Chesnaught's best option for defense and allows you to Stall for recovery from leech seed and leftovers.
-Drain Punch Serves as Fighting type STAB and can be used as a form of light recovery to whilst dealing STAB damage.
-Synthesis Gives Chesnaught the most health and is his best recovery option but uses up a move slot that could be used for more offensive purposes.
-Seed Bomb Grass type STAB and can substitute for drain punch if you don't want to struggle against ghost types.
-Leech Seed Is one of Chesnaught's best recovery options and stacks with leftovers to increase Chesnaught's longevity.
-Spikes Serves as a Hazard option to soften up your opponents and literally Stall them to death.

You can set up hazards easily with this set while in front of a physical Pokemon and with its defense Evs it can tank a flare blitz from Infernape along with a Blaze Kick from Lucario or a Fire Fang from Garchomp. This set walls Sp Atk Lucario with "Aura Sphere", Gengar with "Shadow Ball" and "Sludge Bomb", Electivire, and Garchomp just to name a few.

Sprite

Chesnaught @ Assault Vest
Ability: Bulletproof
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 180 HP / 76 Atk / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Drain Punch
- Earthquake
- Seed Bomb
- Super Fang/Crunch/Stone Edge

Chesnaught could potentially serve a niche role in Gen 9 OU. Its ability, Bulletproof, allows it to switch into common attacks such as Bullet Seed, Energy Ball, Focus Blast, Seed Bomb, Shadow Ball, and Sludge Bomb. Therefore, several Pokemon could potentially be invalidated just by the presence of Chesnaught, such as Amoonguss (without Toxic), Dragapult, Great Tusk, Gholdengo, Hydreigon, Iron Treads, Kingambit, and Meowscarada with proper prediction. 76 Attack EVs allow Chesnaught to 2HKO Clodsire with Earthquake after Leftovers recovery. 180 HP and 252 SpD EVs provide a defensive backbone, allowing Chesnaught to tank numerous special hits such as non-STAB Flamethrowers, Make It Rains, and Draco Meteors. A tera type of Water allows Chesnaught to only take neutral Flying type damage while also allowing it to resist fire attacks and potentially retaliate with super effective Earthquakes. Drain Punch is a STAB recovery option. Earthquake is very strong coverage. Seed Bomb is common grass STAB. Super Fang allows you to chip down opponents such as Corviknight, Amoonguss, and Dondozo easier, but other options such as Crunch can be used for a strong option against Dragapult, or Stone Edge to catch flying types on a switch. While Chesnaught is likely to drop down to a lower tier, it certainly can serve a purpose in OU for the time being.
