If you have a good competitive moveset for Trevenant, post an answer below and upvote the best ones. Movesets for its pre-evolutions, if any, can also be shared on this thread.

Be sure to include full set details in your post, e.g. items, abilities, natures and EVs. Some detail, including the intended game mode for your set, is also appreciated. Access the full list of guidelines here.

Trevenant Pokédex and learnset for reference.

Trevenant @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Harvest
EVs: 252 HP / 128 Def / 128 SpD
Bold Nature
- Leech Seed
- Protect
- Substitute
- Toxic

First start with Leech Seed. Then the opponent probably switch Pokemon, so you use Substitute. If they don't, that will guarantee a Toxic later. But don't get caught by Taunt Magic Guard then switch out.

Tree of Might / T.o.M (Trevenant) @ Sitrus Berry / Enigma Berry / Leichi Berry
Ability: Harvest
EV's: 252 HP / 80 Def / 176 SpD
Careful Nature
- Horn leech
- Leech seed
- Ingrain
- Will-O-Wisp / Curse

Treevee (Trevenant) (M) @ Starf Berry
Ability: Harvest
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Leech Seed
- Horn Leech
- Will-O-Wisp
- Protect

Starf Berry increases a random stat by 2 stages when at red HP. If you do happen to get down to 1/4 HP, Leech Seed and Horn Leech can bring your HP back up easily. Will-O-Wisp cripples physical attackers and protect stalls and maybe saves you a turn without a berry.

In ORAS, Trevenant gets a new move that makes it one of the most annoying stallers that is basically guaranteed to take out at least one of the opposing team's Pokemon. This move is Block.
While it might not seem like much, when used in tandem with the move Curse, it can be absolutely deadly.

Trevenant @ Lum Berry
Ability: Harvest
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Block
- Curse
- Will-O-Wisp
- Rest

The strategy is rather simple. If you can outspeed the opponent and use Block, you can proceed to use Curse and hack away at their health, while they are unable to switch out. Because Trevenant's Special Defense is higher than its Defense, Will-o-Wisp can cripple physical attackers and somewhat balance out its defenses. When you get low on health, Rest can heal you to full health and you will be instantly cured thanks to the Lum Berry.

There are, however, a few flaws in this strategy. In Gen VI, Ghost-types can escape even after being hit with Block or Mean Look. As a result, all Ghost-types should be eliminated before bringing in Trevenant.

Trevenant is abysmally slow, though, so Trick Room support is crucial. Rest can be replaced with Trick Room, if you prefer, and a Harvest + Sitrus Berry combo should be used instead.

Taunt shuts this entire set down, so it's a VERY good idea to get rid of all the opposing Taunt users before bringing Trevenant's in.

All in all, this is a set that does require a lot of setup, but if done correctly, has a high payoff.

Trevenant @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Harvest
EVs: 200 HP / 158 Def / 150 SpD
Sassy / Careful Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Leech Seed
- Horn Leech
- Phantom Force/Protect

If you're running Trick Room on someone else in your team I'd recommend a Sassy Nature + Phantom Force instead. I like Phantom Force because it allows you to be semi-vulnerable, and it pretty much functions like a Protect. In the meantime, the opponent still suffers the burn/leech damage. Also it IGNORES an opponent's protection, so unlike other charge moves this is actually a very handy one. It still allows switching, however.

Trevenant @ Chesto Berry
Ability: Harvest
EV's: 252 Atk / 128 Def / 128 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Sunny Day
- Rest
- Curse / Leech Seed
- Horn Leech

Nothing really needs to be said about this move pool, lol! Lead with Sunny Day, which will guarantee that your Chesto berry will be restored thanks to Trevenant's ability, each and every time you use Rest, providing Sunny Day is still in effect. Whether to use Curse or Leech Seed is purely personal preference, but I prefer Curse myself seeing as how Trevenant can just use Rest afterward, regaining the lost HP. Horn Leech is a give-in in my opinion. It makes the most of Trevenant's high attack stat, while getting a STAB bonus, AND restoring HP.

Trevenant @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Harvest
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
Move Set:
- Will-O-Wisp
- Horn Leech
- Leech Seed
- Substitute

This is a move set to slowly kill and annoy your opponent. Will-O-Wisp inflicts burn which halves the opponent's attack and deals a bit of damage every turn. Horn Leech is a STAB and HP draining attack. Leech Seed slowly drains the opponent's HP & give the drained HP to you. And Substitute creates a wall which Trevenant could hide behind for a short time.
Also, the Sitrus Berry and Harvest does a splendid job of keeping Trevenant HP in the green zone.
I got this move set from a friend of mine. I tried it out...

... and Hey, I like this guy!

Here is a Trevenant who can raise all of it's stats and cover all of it's weaknesses:

Trevenant @ Grassium-Z
Ability: Frisk
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature

  • Z-Forest's Curse - raises all stats one stage
  • X-Scissor - becomes more effective after Forest's Curse, plus Dark-type coverage
  • Shadow Claw - STAB Ghost-type coverage
  • Rock Slide - Fire, Ice and Flying coverage

Hope you like it :)

Trevenant @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Harvest
EVs: 252 HP / 128 Def / 128 SpD
Brave Nature
- Horn Leech
- Curse
- Shadow Claw
- Protect

Strategy: Get a Curse up, Protect, Leech Seed, Protect, Horn Leech, Protect, Horn Leech, etc. (Only use Shadow Claw if it works better in the situation, such as against a Ghost-type or a Psychic-type)
Tip: Make sure you ALWAYS go for Curse first turn because getting that Curse damage is essential to the strategy.

Specialist Physical Defender

Trevenant @ Kee Berry
Ability: Harvest
EVs: 252 HP / 128 Def / 128 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Leech Seed
- Horn Leech
- Phantom Force

This took a lot of breeding. As long as you don't come up against an Ice- or Fire-type you're almost indestructible.
Having the Kee Berry and Harvest is as effective as having a fifth defense boosting move. Will-O-Wisp further adds to the annoyance with the attack stat drop for opponent. Horn Leech for more recovery, good for the many Ground-types online.
Phantom Force is a powerful STAB move and allows for another chance to recover the Kee berry if Harvest hasn't already activated. This has been a constant performer for me with all the physical attackers out there.

Trevenant @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Harvest
Evs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Impish / Adamant Nature
- Leech Seed
- Toxic / Will-O-Wisp
- Protect
- Phantom Force

Leech Seed and Sitrus Berry give you excellent sustain. Toxic and Will-O-Wisp can wear down the opponent. Protect can give you a chance to get your Berry back. Shadow Force means your not complete Taunt bait, plus
it makes you disappear for a turn (letting you have another chance to get your berry back).

Trevenant@Sitrus Berry
Trevenant
Ability:Harvest
Nature:Adamant
EVs:252 HP/252 Atk/4 Def
•Leech Seed
•Poltergeist
•Horn Leech
•Drain Punch
Leech seed heals. Sitrus Berry heals. Horn leech heals. Drain punch heals. And poltergeist is 110 power STAB.

Trevenant @ Choice Band
Ability: Frisk
Adamant Nature
EV spread: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 Def

  • Wood Hammer
  • Poltergeist
  • Earthquake
  • Seed Bomb / Drain Punch

Wood Hammer is STAB. Poltergeist is also STAB, covers Ghost types, and makes a unique pairing with Frisk. Earthquake is coverage neutrally and for Fire types. Seed Bomb is Grass STAB without recoil, Drain Punch covers Ice and Dark types and is also neutral coverage. It can also be used to heal off chip from Wood Hammer and Stealth Rock.

Trevenant
Trevenant @ Grassium Z
Ability: Frisk
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Forest's Curse
- Shadow Claw
- Horn Leech
- X-Scissor
Z-Forest’s Curse boosts all stats. It also gives them the grass typing, potentially making them weak to bug, so X-Scissor can hit them hard.

Frisk & Choice Scarf set

Gen 8 Moveset

Trevenant @Choice Scarf
Ability: Frisk
Nature: Jolly
EVS: Attack 252, Speed 252, HP 4

Moveset

-Trick
-Poltergiest
-Will-O-Wisp
-Ingrain

Welp here is a Choice scarf switch set! Of course frisk allows you to see the opposing 'mon's item if they hold one, and allows you to use trick to switch items and poltergeist you all know what this awesome move does. Will-o-wisp for a nice burn and ingrain to get HP back.

Trevenant won't be outspeeding much even with scarf. Band would be better. Also Ingrain sucks I suggest an attacking move (Physical of course)

Wouldn't you want minimum Speed for Trick Room so you're more likely to move first?
what do you mean? i got trick room
Yes, it has Trick Room, but you have Jolly / Hasty Nature and Speed EVs, which will make you move last in Trick Room. If you want Speed EVs, don't use Trick Room on Trevenant. If you want to use Trick Room, make it have 0 Speed EVs and 0 speed IVs.

Also what Gen is this for? If Gen 8, run Poltergeist over Phantom Force because Phantom Force takes up two turns, and I'm not sure if Phantom Force and Trick Room go well together.
Thanks for the comment
