I was thinking of putting either Chandelure or Honchkrow in my competetive team, but both of them evolve with a dusk stone and I only have one. Which one should I choose?

What's the rest of your team?
I havent made it yet, but I want to make a team with one of them in it.

Well, it all depends on what your team is missing. If your team is without a resistance to Ghosts then you'd probably want to go Honchkrow over Chandelure, but if your team is packed with physical attackers, then Chandelure would be the more balanced choice.

Another thing is if your team is weak to Stealth Rock or just Rocky types in general you might as well just search for a different Pokemon.

Just analyze your team and see what you need and what isn't needed and that's when you should decide which Pokemon you will be evolving with your Dusk Stone.

Honchkrow
Honchkrow @ Life Orb
Ability: Moxie
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Sucker Punch
- Brave Bird
- Superpower
- Roost / Pursuit

If your team either lacks a decent revenge killer or good physical attacker or maybe even you want perfect synergy and you need Honchkrow to be your resist to whatever, you could use this Krow set. Sucker Punch can pick off weakened threats and when it does, Honchkrow's Brave Bird won't be stopped at +1. Superpower gives Krow great coverage and if it kills something, it won't even matter with Moxie. The final slot is up to you if you want to trap a Ghost or Psychic Pokemon which would want to switch away from Krow or Roost to keep its survivability up.

Chandelure
Chandelure @ Choice Specs / Choice Scarf
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Modest / Timid Nature
- Overheat
- Flamethrower
- Shadow Ball
- Energy Ball

You can pick between Specs or Scarf. It all depends on whether you want absolute RAW POWER or some decent amount of speed. Specs Modest Overheat hurts sooo bad, but use it with discretion as you pretty much have to switch out next turn. Flamethrower is the other Fire move you use when you plan on keeping Chandy in for a couple of turns. Shadow Ball is another STAB Chndelure can abuse while Energy Ball hits those annoying bulk waters.

Really, you should only choose one if it fits your team and if neither fits, just pick another!

Fire Blast & HP Fighting > Overheat & Flamethrower
Fire Blast has poop accuracy which could suck for a choiced Pokemon and Hidden Power is realllllly weak.
Hidden Power dents TTar more than Energy Ball on the switch in, and Fire Blast provide more consistent and powerful damage, even if the accuracy is a little shaky.
One does not simply hit Tyranitar with Hidden Power.
It does more damage that any other of it's moves, and there's nothing better to put there when running the *cough* superior *cough* Fire Blast.
You don't leave Chandy in on TTar anyway. Anything else can come in on HP Fight and take it with ease. Any other fighting type can be paired with Chandy.
Yeah you don't leave it in lol

Well, let's look at their stats.

Honchcrow
Honchkrow or Honchkrow
HP: 100
Attack: 125
Defense: 52
Sp.Attack: 105
Sp.Defense: 52
Speed: 71
Total: 505

Chandelure
Chandelure or Chandelure
HP: 60
Attack: 55
Defense: 90
Sp.Attack: 145
Sp.Defense: 90
Speed: 80
Total: 520

It all depends on what you are looking for. If you are in more in need of an attacker, I would say Honchcrow. It is pretty fast, and can do a lot of damage, but you might want to watch out for that Defense.

If you want more of an all-arounder, you might want to use Chandelure. It's fast and furious, and it's defense is higher than Honchcrow's.

One more thing to look at is Type match-ups. Honchcrow is weak to 4 types and resistant to 3. Pretty useful. Chandelure is weak to 5 types, but strong against 7. This shouldn't be too much of a problem, though, because its defense stats are pretty high.

I would personally suggest using the Dusk Stone on Chandelure, with a better type matchup and such. Otherwise, I wouldn't really know because I don't use either of them in battle. If you don't agree, please don't downvote, Just comment. Hope this helps!!! :)
