Why wont my Gulpin learn Dream Eater?

I'm breeding my female Gulpin with my Male Haunter. The haunter does have dream eater, but whenever I get an egg to hatch the Gulpin only knows pound, shouldn't it have gotten Dream Eater through breeding?

Well, this really depends on your game.

Gulpin has only had Dream Eater as an Egg Move in Generation IV - it has never had it as an Egg Move since.

If you are breeding in Generation IV, you probably are doing something wrong somewhere, but it's okay - it can learn Dream Eater via TM85. :)
