Counter or Mirror Coat for Psyshock?

If someone uses Psyshock, can you retaliate with Counter or Mirror Coat?

Mirror Coat, because Psyshock is a special move, regardless of it dealing damage based on the target's defence.

>If the last amount of damage done to the user before the use of Mirror Coat is greater than 0 and was dealt by a Special move, Mirror Coat will do twice as much damage as taken by that attack to the opponent.

You can counter with mirror coat, since Psyshock is a special move. Also, Psyshock does not trigger abilities like static and poison point. Hope I helped!

Mirror Coat

Regardless if it hits your defense or special defense, the move is still a 'Special Move'. As such, Mirror Coat will be the one to use.
