Crobat @ Life Orb

Trait: Inner Focus

EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

Timid Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)

  • Sludge Bomb/Air Slash
  • Giga Drain
  • Heat Wave
  • Nasty Plot

Sludge Bomb is STAB, and has a nice base power and accuracy.
Starting off with Air Slash for STAB right off the bat. Air Slash also has better coverage than Sludge Bomb, but Giga Drain and Heat Wave is usually enough.
Giga Drain provides a little healing as well as some coverage.
Heat Wave can hit steel type Pokemon for some reasonable damage. Ice weakness.
Nasty Plot doubles Sp.atk, Useful for Crobat mediocre Sp.atk stat.
Dark Pulse/Shadow Ball might also be worth taking a look at.

sorry but, is there any way this guy can learn nasty plot + giga drain? (which is will be very nice if he could, but i think he couldn't, isn't it?)
Yeah there is a way Crobat legitimately can learn Nasty Plot and Giga Drain.
Breed Nasty Plot to it in fourth Gen, then just teach it Giga Drain by TM and optionally transfer it to Black and White.
Timid is -Atk +Speed.

Item: Evolite
Ability: Inner-focus
Nature: Bold
EVs: 252 Defense, 252 S.Defense, 6 Hp

Roost
Toxic
Heat-wave
Haze

Roost is for healing. Toxic is for stalling. Heat-wave gets rid of Steel types. Haze gets rid of annoying stat boosting Pokemon. This guy is surprisingly bulky.

this is for crobat not gol bat

If you hate stall, you'll love these two sets (UU):

Nasty Plot Crobat

Crobatman (Crobat) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Nasty Plot
- Air Slash
- Giga Drain
- Heat Wave

Crobat's immunity to Toxic, and access to Nasty Plot and Giga Drain make it very threatening against stall teams. Crobat's base special attack stat is only 70, but it hits hard after a few Nasty Plot boosts, especially when you add Life Orb. It will be easy to setup on passive Pokémon, as they can't badly poison it. Air Slash is for STAB, and is a good way to inflict hax on your opponent (or not). Giga Drain counters Unaware walls like Quagsire and Pyukumku, and is useful for restoring HP, especially against Blissey, which is a huge annoyance to this Crobat. Because of Blissey's massive HP stat, a Life Orb +6 Giga Drain will restore 35 - 41.3% of its maximum HP, which is more damage than Seismic Toss. Heat Wave hits steel types like Registeel, Scizor, and Mega Aggron for super effective damage. Infiltrator allows Crobat to bypass Substitute.

Taunt/Roost + Offensive Pivot Crobat

Crobatgirl (Crobat) (F) @ Flyinium Z
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Taunt
- Roost
- Brave Bird
- U-Turn

A less gimmicky set that can shut down stall teams due to the Taunt + Roost combo and Crobat's toxic immunity. Taunt cripples passive Pokémon that rely on status moves, such as Blissey, Suicune, etc. and makes them unable to recover. Roost restores 50% of Crobat's maximum HP, allowing it to recover from Stealth Rock damage, and switch into attacks more often. Brave Bird is for STAB and hits exceptionally hard when paired with Flyinium-Z. Sky Plate can be used if you already have a Z-move user. U-Turn allows Crobat to switch out while dealing damage, letting it act as an offensive pivot and gain momentum. Infiltrator allows Crobat to hit Substitute Suicune and Kyurem.

Watch out for Mega Aerodactyl, as it can be found on stall teams, and outspeeds and OHKOs Crobat. Also, you should probably use these sets in UU rather than OU (yk, Heatran).

Cool ideas. But you can't stop timer stallers :P.

It's Crobatman!

Status/Support-Bat

Item: Leftovers
Ability: Inner-focus
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 252 Speed, 252 HP, 6 Defense

Confuse-ray
Hypnosis
Super-fang
Tailwind

Confuse-ray is self explanatory, it confuses the opponent. Hypnosis makes them go to sleep. Super-fang cuts there HP down to half in one hit, which is a great help to the rest of the team as it makes it easier to finish off. Tailwind is great for team support.

Crobat @ Black Sludge
Trait: Infiltrator
Nature: Jolly
252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spe

- U-Turn
- Taunt
- Brave Bird
- Cross Poison

This set is to prevent other stalls from the opponent and is also a great scout with U-Turn. With his 130 base speed stat It's joint top fastest none legendary/mega Pokemon in the game. This set is walled by Steel and Rock types, however it is not supposed to be a stall or wall set, he's supposed to maybe take a hit and U-Turn out or Taunt then U-Turn to gain initiative. I've also found him to be a nice addition to the team purely for his speed towards the end of the battle so running dual STAB is nice although like I said a lot of Pokemon wall him.

A big note: never bring Crobat out if the opponent has a Klefki the priority Thunder-Wave almost renders Crobat useless. If you can predict the Klefki coming in you can go for the Taunt and then U-Turn, the moves work excellent together. Now you have a free switch in.

Here's a really bulky golbat:

Golbat @ Eviolite
Trait: Infiltrator
Impish Nature(+Def, -SpA)
EVs: 252 HP, 252 SpD, 4 Def
Moves:
Toxic
Super Fang
Roost
Defog

by
Generally Brave Bird > Super Fang, but SF is still an option too

Gen III
Crobat @ Choice Band/Leftovers
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature (+Atk. - SpAtk.)
- Sludge Bomb
- Shadow Ball
- Aerial Ace/Confuse Ray
- Steel Wing/Confuse Ray

Sludge Bomb and Shadow Ball are physical moves because it is in Gen III. Sludge Bomb and Aerial Ace are STAB, and Shadow Ball covers Psychic. Steel Wing covers Ice and Steel, there's not many options in Gen III. Confuse Ray is a good alternative. Choice Band should be the item if Confuse Ray is not used. Otherwise, Leftovers.

SupportBat

Item: Black Sludge
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 252 Spe, 252 HP, 4 Sp.Def
Nature: Jolly

Tailwind/Quick Guard
Defog/Roost
U-turn
Whirlwind/Taunt/Haze

Tail Wind can give your entire team more speed, if it needs it. While Quick Guard will protect from priority attacks in case your opponent has them.
Defog can get rid of entry hazards which can cripple your team, while Roost heals back some of Crobat's HP. U-turn is momentum. Last slot is all preference. Whirl wind forces out opposing mons. Taunt stops your opponent from using status moves. Haze restores all stat changes from both yours and opponents side.

If you really think about it, a bulky set isn't half bad.
Crobat has 80 in both defensive stats, which is really good for a speed based hecker like this guy. Let's take advantage of that.

EVS: 252 HP, 126 Def, 126 Sp. Def, 4 Spd
Trait: Inner Focus
Item: Leftovers or Life Orb

Moves:
Roost (User recovers half of HP while sacrificing the flying type)
Cross Poison (80 base power, STAB, increased crit, and 10% chance of poison)
U-turn (Good base power, high accuracy, hit and run move, super-effective against psychic)
Taunt/Pursuit/Toxic (Toxic works for guaranteed poison that damages more each turn, very helpful in most cases, except against Poison Heal, poison types, and steel types. Pursuit is for Pokémon that just so happen to decide to switch in, also very good against psychic types. Taunt works to stop Pokémon that need to set up.)

And that's about it for my Crobat set. Please give your opinions in case mine seems flawed to you.

Double/Triple Battle

Crobat (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Tailwind
- Brave Bird
- Cross Poison
- X-Scissor

Tailwind provides team support. Brave Bird is STAB that can hit any foe. Cross Poison is STAB. X-Scissor is coverage.

[email protected] Orb
Ability: Inner focus
EVs: 252 Attk 152 Def 100 Sp Def
Nature: Adamant ( + Attk - Sp Attk )
-Brave Bird ( High Damage, STAB. )
-U-Turn ( For switching, obviously. )
-Taunt ( For bulky walls that want to set up on you. )
-Super Fang ( Also for bulky walls, making life easier by halfing their HP. )

This croabat's moveset doesnt cover weaknesses, instead it's meant to be a wall breaking support pokemon. This is mostly for irritating walls that want to set up right infront of you. With it's defense EVs and quite decent defences, it can turn into a very irritating pokemon.

BATMAN!!

Item: Flight Gem
Ability: Inner-focus
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 252 Attack, 252 Speed, 6 Hp

Acrobatics
U-turn
Super-fang
Steel-wing or Confuse-ray or Taunt

This is the Crobat set I use in OU quite frequently, he is extremely effective, I once even turned a 2-6 loss into a 6-5 win for me just with this guy!. Acrobatics is EXTREMELY powerful STAB it makes Crobat the ultimate counter to Fighting and Grass combined with that 4x resistance, this guy even can take out Conkeldurr! U-turn is for escaping foes I can not defeat with Crobat. Super-fang is great for breaking through bulky Pokemon. Steel-wing can be used for coverage and if you are fortunate Defense boost, while Confuse-ray is for status and is very useful in my experience, Taunt is if you want to destroy stallers and leads.

Good uses for Crobat:

  • Taunt lead: Makes them not able to set up with Taunt, then uses Super-fang on the bulky ones then U-turns out of there.
  • Sweeper: Takes out Volcarona and Fighting types with Acrobatics and breaks through Bulky Pokemon with Super-fang then switches out with U-turn.
  • Annoying wall destroyer: Uses Confuse-ray to make them well confused XD then uses Super-fang to take away half there health, then use U-turn.

This bat is awesome!

by
Taunt Lead set is great!
Umm, how is Acrobatics EXTREMELY powerful when it has base 55 power. I'd consider it extremely powerful if you weren't holding an item.
The Flying Gem is consumed before Acrobatics is used, which means it gets the 110 base power and the Flying Gem boost.
Well sorry. I'm sick, 'K. I got a sore throat, eye infection, fever. My brain's messed up.

Gen.III set (Which means it is geared towards in-game use in Gen.III)

Crobat/Leftovers

EVs (Optional since there really was no metagame in Gen.III): 252 atk, 252 spd, 4 HP
Nature: Adamant/Jolly
Moves:
Fly
Shadow Ball
Sludge Bomb
Confuse Ray/Mean Look

Fly is STAB and gets you where you wanna go as well as hitting hard, Shadow Ball helps with the ghost member of the E-4 and is physical in Gen.III, while Sludge Bomb is STAB and also Physical due to it being in a past Gen. Confuse Ray can be used effectively but Mean Look helps with catching Latias/Latios.

by
Thats the EXACT same set i used too!
I like it but why sludge bomb and shadow ball if they are special moves? use timid if you want sludge bomb and shadow ball.
sludge bomb and shadow ball are physical in gen 3
Oh ok. sorry. i got really confused.

Venoshock Sweeper Crobat

image

Crobat @ Leftovers
Ability: Inner Focus
Calm Nature
EVs: 252 Sp.Def / 252 Spd / 4 Sp.Atk
- Toxic
- Venoshock
- Heat Wave
- Nasty Plot

If your using a Klefki as your lead, this could be a good sweeper. So basically, Klefki will set up Light Screen, Set Up Spikes, and then switch to Crobat. Crobat, will use Toxic, and use Heat Wave if the foe is a steel type. Then Crobat will use Venoshock, and then, if the foe isn't that strong, you can set up a Nasty Plot. You can also change Nasty Plot to HP Ground incase a Heatran shows up. So after that, Poison then Shock. He will be incredibly strong with this set. Venoshock, Multiplied, will have 125 base power with Toxic, and have 185 base power with stab, after a Nasty Plot, will have an enormous 370 base power. 2 Nasty Plots = 555
Base Power 3 Nasty Plots = A Scary 740 Base Power. If it were super effective, like against Breloom, it would have 1,480 Base Power 4x, Against a Whimsicott, Venoshock would have 2,960 Base Power! This is really a scary set. If you can use it.

TOXIC SET

Crobat @ Black Sludge
Trait: Inner Focus
Nature: Modest
EVs: 252 Def / 252 SpDef / 4 HP

Moveset

Venoshock: (Type: Poison / Power: 65 / Accuracy: 100)

Roost: (Type: Flying)

Double Team: (Type: Normal)

Toxic: (Type: Poison)

Use toxic to badly poison your opponent, then use double team over and over again (4-6 times) to sit back and let your opponent suffer from poison damage. Once you've used Double Team as much as much as you'd like, use roost to heal if you need to. Then use Venoshock to finish of the opponent with a whopping 130 power.
__
ATTACKER SET

Crobat @ ( No item)
Trait: Inner Focus
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 252 Atk / 126 Spd / 126 HP

Moveset:

Cross Poison: (Type: Poison / Power: 70 / Accuracy: 100) STAB, decent power, and high crit ratio.

Acrobatics: (Type: Flying / Power: 55 / Accuracy: 100) Massive damage since Crobat isn't holding anything, plus STAB.

Confuse Ray: (Type: Ghost / Accuracy: 100) Can come in handy sometimes.

U-Turn: (Type: Bug / Power: 70 / Accuracy: 100) Decent power, Hit and run. Also deals with Psychic types.
