How to fix gts error message on alpha sapphire?

everytime I try to trade on gts I get an error message. the message states that there has been an error in comminication but I have full internet bars and my game has been updated.

it doesnt give a number it just says "a communication wrror has occurred press thepower button, and end the game"

Have you tried reseting your internet? That may be the problem... but it COULD be parental controls...

Another alternative could be checking if you're actually connected to your own internet.
