Can me first copy moves like Spore from your teammate and use it on the opponent?

Question

So lets say I have a Furret and a Breloom. Breloom uses spore, and then Furret uses me first to spore the other opponent in a double battle. Will it work the way I am thinking, or will I have to use assist?

after you would probably be better for this sort of strat, so mew or something uses after you on breloom, and then breloom uses spore on the opponent immediately after

No Me first will only copy oppontents moves.
