Was making a team in STABmons and was making a set with Staraptor when I thought that it could use Explosion as part of it's Normal typing. So I got curious; does Explosion get boosted by the Reckless ability? Because you could say that the mon receives recoil damage after using the move..

No, Explosion is not boosted by Reckless because the damage that Explosion deals to the user is not classified as recoil damage. All of the moves that deal the user recoil damage are listed here, and as you can see, Explosion is not one of them.
