Kommo-o @ Kommonium Z
Ability: Bulletproof
EVs: 192 HP / 104 Atk / 100 Def / 100 SpA / 104 SpD
Quiet Nature
- Clanging Scales
- Close Combat
- Poison Jab
- X-Scissor

Kommonium Z (if you have to use this, like when a Fairy type is in your opponent's party, then use it even if it's not very effective because it raises all stats except evasion and accuracy by one stage and you won't get a chance to use your Z-move when the Fairy type comes).

Moves:
- Clanging Scales (STAB and signature move. Dragon type coverage. It would be best if you use this after your Z-move).
- Close Combat (STAB. Normal, Ice, Rock, Steel, and Dark type coverage. It would be best if you use this after your Z-move).
- Poison Jab (Fairy and Grass type coverage).
- X-Scissor (Psychic, Grass, and Dark type coverage).

Any move or type in bold text (exclude the moves you know), are the moves and types you're weak to.

How come it isn't all special? It already has Clanging Scales, just give it more special moves like, Focus Blast, Flash Cannon, and other special moves.
Focus Blast misses, all the time, you can't depend on it. Flash Cannon can't poison you like Poison Jab. This Kommo-o isn't meant to be all special. What special move can Kommo-o learn that is super effective against Psychic types? If Kommo-o could learn Aura Sphere (which it can't) maybe I'd consider a special Kommo-o. There's nothing wrong with Kommo-o being mixed because it's z-move raises all it's stats (exclude evasion and accuracy) by one stage which is very good for a mixed Kommo-o. When I say mixed I mean a physical and special Kommo-o.

Gen 7

Kommo-o @ Kommonium Z
Ability: Soundproof
EVs: 252 Atk / 130 SpA / 126 Spe
Bashful Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Clanging Scales
- Close Combat
- Outrage

With Soundproof, it can't get Roar-ed out of battle, immune to Pixilate Hyper Voice
EVS: 252 Attack, 126 Speed, 130 SpA.

Dragon Dance (setup sweep)
Clanging Scales (first turn Z Move)
Close Combat (Fighting STAB)
Outrage (Spam)

He has no coverage, but if set up and no Fairy-types are in play, he is going to heat like a freaking truck. Also Z-Move buffs all stats (except Accuracy + Evasivness)

These EVs don't get the full potential. 252 128 128 would be better. Also, Clanging Scales isn't strong without special attack boosts, and it type overlaps with Outrage. Coverage would be better

National Dex Monotype
Kommo-o
Kommo-o (F) @ Kommonium Z
Ability: Bulletproof
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Clanging Scales
- Aura Sphere
- Flamethrower
- Substitute

A special set. Clanging Scales is powerful STAB and with the Z-move, boosts all stats by one stage. Flamethrower hits things like Grass and Steel types. Aura Sphere is STAB and covers more types like Normal, Rock, and it can also hit mons Like Heatran. Substitute helps with dodging things like Toxic and helps with taking attacks.

Kommo-o @ Aguav Berry
Ability: Bulletproof / Soundproof / Overcoat
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Belly Drum
- Clangorous Soul
- Drain Punch
- Shadow Claw

This is a funny set I came up for Kommo-o that punishes passive walls and people who assume you’re special/mixed SR Kommo-o.

1st play Clangorous Soul
- Play it first move to get defensive and speed boost.
- Don’t play this if you’re going against something that can OHKO you, do major damage or has encore.

2nd play Belly Drum
- If they switch into another wall that doesn’t have unaware and doesn’t hit you hard then your set.
- Again if they can OHKO you, do major damage or have encore don’t play this.
- Berry activate and heals you back to 50% if it doesn’t get attacked.

3rd play Draining Punch / Shadow Claw
- Almost nothing walls these 2 moves meaning that you sweep through everything except unaware walls.
- Priorities might be able to hit you but your defense boost and draining punch almost guarantee you survive and gain health back.

Tera-Ghost
- Best Tera to go with this letting you be immune to 2 types and neutral to types that originally hit you for easier set-up and ghost stab with shadow claw.

Ability
- Soundproof makes you immune to alluring voice and other sound based moves making set-up easier.
- Bulletproof makes you be able set-up on stuff like Gengar.

Item
- Aguav berry or any similar berry that doesn’t make you confused will work.
- The berry replenishes the health you lose with belly drum so you can tank one more hit.

Gen 9 National Dex Monotype Mixed Clangorous Soulblaze Sweeper

Kommo-o @ Kommonium Z
Ability: Soundproof / Bulletproof
Tera Type: Dragon
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Clanging Scales
- Flamethrower
- Drain Punch / Close Combat
- Taunt / Vacuum Wave

The standard Clangorous Soulblaze set Kommo-o uses in National Dex Monotype. Clanging Scales is used for the Dragon STAB since it is needed alongside Kommonium Z to allow Kommo-o to use its Z-move Clangorous Soulblaze to get a one-time nuke + omniboost to make Kommo-o a potent late-game sweeper. Flamethrower is used to allow Kommo-o to hit Steel-types such as Mega Scizor, Gholdengo, Skarmory, Celesteela, Ferrothorn without making contact with it, and Corviknight super effectively, which is useful in matchups such as Steel. The Fighting move is up to preference. Drain Punch is the usual Fighting STAB of choice since it provides Kommo-o with a source of HP recovery to keep it healthy to clean through teams. Close Combat can be used instead for a stronger Fighting STAB that can get OHKOs Drain Punch can't get vs Pokemon such as Hisuian Goodra and Heatran with a +1 boost. Taunt is usually the move used for the last slot if you use Drain Punch as the Fighting move, as it is useful to allow Kommo-o to stop opposing Pokemon from stopping its sweep by preventing opposing Pokemon from using status moves like Toxic or using moves such as Haze and Whirlwind to get rid of Kommo-o's stat boosts. Drain Punch + Taunt is useful for Kommo-o to deal with matchups such as Normal and Steel. Vacuum Wave is usually used if you use Close Combat for the Fighting STAB. Vacuum Wave allows Kommo-o to be able to deal with Choice Scarf users Greninja and Meowscarada if they're sent out to try to revenge kill Kommo-o if they're put in range of being picked off by a +1 Vacuum Wave. Vacuum Wave is also useful for other faster Pokemon if they're weakened enough for Kommo-o to use Vacuum Wave to finish them off. You can also use Clangorous Soul as the last slot with Drain Punch as your Fighting STAB, allowing Kommo-o to have another move to give it an omniboost(making it a Double Clang set), though you usually use either Taunt or Vacuum Wave in the last slot. The Ability you use depends on the type you use Kommo-o on. Soundproof is used on Dragon, which is useful against opposing Kommo-o since it can give you a switch-in to a Clangorous Soulblaze, which is useful in the Dragon mirror. Bulletproof is used on Fighting teams, with the immunity to moves such as Shadow Ball being against Pokemon such as Gholdengo and Blacephalon.
