Does an everstone also pass on the parent's gender when you use it for breeding? I've given an everstone to a male Charmander and every single egg I've hatched so far has been male. I've been breeding for over an HOUR in trying for a female! Did the everstone work differently in ORAS, or am I just extremely unlucky tonight? (Watch me hatch a female right after I post this question...)

The Everstone does not pass on gender

Only IVs. As a starter, Charmander has a high male-to-female ratio at 87.5% being male. So it's not that you're unlucky, or that the Everstone is messing thing up for you. It's just kind of rare. Hang n there, breeding is a hard task requiring a high level of patience.

EDIT:

>The Destiny Knot passes down IVs. The Everstone passes down Natures, and only when held by a female Pokemon or a Ditto.

n00b feelz Dx #wowfail

Anyway, answer itself is the same, the everstone has nothing to with the gender ratio of starter eggs.
