I want an axew with iron tail which is obtained through breeding a female axew with aron or any of it's evolved forms. However if I have a male axew with iron tail already can I breed that with the female axew and get an axew with iron tail?

Yes, if you breed your Iron Tail Axew with another Axew, the resulting children will have Iron Tail.
