I cant catch entei in heartgold?

It has one hp left and I put it to sleep and I cant catch it,what do I do?

Set your ds clock to night then find it and have a dugtrio or wobuffet and use the quick ball if that failed use a ton of dusk balls

If it's night or in a cave, timer balls start becoming more effective than dusk balls after 25 turns. I think it starts counting from the last time you encounter the Pokemon, not the first time.
