Can we use an effect move on siglyph with the magic guard ability?

Can we use moves like leech seed or thunderwave on Pokemon with the ability magic guard.

Yes you can, but Leech Seed will not take any health from Sigilyph, as it is indirect damage and thus will be nullified thanks to its ability.

To add to this: it can still be affected by status conditions, but burn and poison don't reduce hp between turns (effectively rendering poison useless; but burn's atk cut is still in effect). Sleep, paralysis, and freezing aren't affected by magic guard.
