Does changing the clock in HGSS do anything to the Safari Zone (good or bad)?

I'm playing through HGSS again and with regards to the Safari Zone. I'm wondering if you can use the clock to trick the day count or if it resets the day count.

Did some experimenting a while back and changing the clock didn't seem to work, but now after daylight savings time change it seems like it reset things. If someone could say for sure either way that would be awesome.

In HG/SS, screwing with the DS clock in any way resets the Safari Zone's day count to zero. No cheating the system to make Pokemon like Bagon appear sooner.
