Where can the Charcoal be found in USUM?

Hello,
Where do I find the held item Charcoal in Pokémon Ultra Sun? I think it is supposed to be in HeaHea City but I have looked everywhere and can’t find it. If you know where it is, please answer and be specific as to where to find it.

In USUM, When you show the Bellhop standing outside of the TideSong Hotel a Magmar, he will give you Charcoal.

When does the prompt unlock? I have magmar in my box and keep checking to give my Salandit Charcoal. I'm directly before Sophoclese's trial (gonna let Salandit evolve after 40). I need to get Charcoal before Sophocles.
