Should I have made my Mega Charizard X a tank?

So far, on my competitive team for the Battle Maison in ORAS, I have the Charizard and a Sceptile, who is going to be my speedy special attacker. I made my Charizard a speedy special and physical attacker, which is similar to Sceptile, so should I make him a tank instead? Also, I would like some more suggestions for a double battle competitive team (:

No. Most tanks have defense/SpcDefense stats of 100 or over. Mega Charizard x is way better as a fast phsyical sweeper, thanks to its tough claws ability.

Tough Claws boosts the power of the Pokémon's contact moves by 30%.
